0.8.6 Matilda Black Prince buff

Thanks to TwilightSparkle for this one.

Apparently, Matilda BP turret got resized. Along with a depression buff, the turret itself is noticeably smaller, have a look (to the left - 0.8.6, to the right - 0.8.5). It's also visibly shorter, so let's hope this finally makes Matilda BP a bit more enjoyable to play. Turret armor got also buffed, from 76/51/44 to 76/63/57.

  4. Still not good enough. They should also buff the 6 pdr's accuracy and aim time as it doesn't make up for its low ammo capacity and agonizingly slow speed.

    1. But it is more accurate on test, all guns are after all. Shooting at weak spots will be much easier. Oh, and profitability is also significantly buffed.

    2. But u have to compare the stats of the MBP's 6 pdr with the one on the Cromwell. MBP's accuracy and aim time are 0.41m and 2.3 seconds, while Cromwell's is 0.39m and 1.9 seconds respectively.

Now both tanks have basically the same turret and gun right? So why does the MBP have it worse when it's already slow and has few shells to spare? I really think this inconsistency should be corrected also. Anyway, thanks for the comparison TwilightSparkle.

Btw, has the turret weight been corrected or issit still 8800kg?

    3. Because MBP is a tier V tank and cromwell is at tier VI and you'll find the same gun works differently on different tanks at different tiers. If you compare it to the performance of the same gun on tanks at the same tier (Crusader, Churchill I, Churchill III) it's the same.

    4. Actually, it seems like gun functionality in WoT tends to be tied to two things: vehicle class (TDs get better stats because of rigid mounting) and the turret installed.

It's using a Cromwell turret. There's no reason that the gun shouldn't perform equivalent to how it would in a Cromwell. I can see a reload speed nerf because the ammo stowage is different, but the gun itself should behave very close to the same.

Tier is irrelevant in this case; the tank is crippling slow, with no current upsides to balance it out. A more powerful gun, or improvement to the one it already has, would help it be more competitive.

    5. @Kronin, the 6 pdr on the Churchill I has 1.9 seconds aim time, which isn't the same as the MBP. Plus the tanks you mentioned at least have an upside to it. The Crusader is fast, while both Churchill's have awesome armor, and the 6 pdr is not the Churchill I's top gun so it can mount better.

The MBP is both slow and only decently armored (which is still poor against tier 5 tanks and is most definitely worthless at tier 6). The current stats of the 6 pdr, coupled with only 55 rounds, does not really make up for it. (sry double post)

  5. Is the turret still heavier than some tier 8 tanks turrets?

  7. To make this tank playable, WG should give it a preferencial MM (same tier or 1 lower only).

    1. The MBP does not see tier 7 battles, unlike tanks like the M4 Sherman. Or is that not good enough?
