Confirmed: 0.8.6 will come in 3-4 weeks on RU server

- if I understand it correctly, Russian server now has a special program - if you click "I accept", data about your computer will be sent to Wargaming to "improve the game". According to SerB, many players accepted.
- SerB likes the WoT: Generals project, but prefers regular WoT
- damaging your tank by crashing into a stone/building is not planned
- according to SerB, snowy maps have the same tank traction as regular ones, eg. tanks don't drift more on snow... for now
- 76mm penetration on 59-16 is "historical", the 76mm gun is more or less analogical to the Soviet D-56T
- no official info on 0.8.6 for now ("will be announced officially")
- it's very unlikely old premium tanks will get an overhaul (even a visual one)
- it's confirmed that newly unlocked tanks have limited MM... unless there is a very low number of players (for example in very early morning), in which case this rule is suspended
- T58 Heavy will most likely not appear in the game
- it's possible Americans will get a new tier 8 LT
- there will probably be no American TD's with autoloaders (SerB: "I can't remember any")
- there will be no transfers from higher tier to lower tier in the tech tree (SS: as in unlocking a tier 6 vehicle from tier 7 vehicle of another branch)
- if I understand it correctly, in distant future (apparently), there will be a function implemented that players will actually recieve credits for when they detrack enemy vehicle and the enemy vehicle gets then damaged by others
- crewmembers dying from engine fire won't be implemented
- there is a chance even now for crewmembers to die from ramming
- 0.8.6 will bring some game optimalisation changes
- tanks flipping on their back will eventually implemented
- SerB on why premium tanks must be worse than regular ones: "We don't sell pwnage for money. If you are a good enough player to compensate for the premium tank disadvantages, you can both pwn and farm. Otherwise - either you can farm, or you can pwn. And enjoyment has to be archieved by raising your skill. Otherwise it's some kind of narcomania."
- new premium vehicles are planned
- WG employees sometimes play companies, they are "above average"
- the phenomenon of retards starting companies only to look for platoons won't be dealt with ("don't join such companies")
- if two scouts light up one enemy target, the LT getting spotting XP is the one the server declared to be first to light up
- it's possible that the Königstiger and Jagdtiger will have their max speed buffed like the IS-7 did, but not the horsepower (eg. only applies when going downhill)
- it's not planned for now for players to be able to buy more than one camouflage of the same kind

- in 0.8.6, arty experience will be bound to tier, eg. if you have 200k experience on T7 vehicle, it won't be transferred with the vehicle, it will stay on T7 regardless of whether the former T7 vehicle gets transferred to another tier or not
- the option to select the look of your hangar has been considered, but has low priority
- 0.8.6 arty leaks? "No comment"
- the moving Panther in the tutorial was done as an "active element". According to SerB, it's principially possible to make maps with such things as moving trains and cars, but this won't be done for now in WoT.
- 57mm autoloaded S-60 gun is not planned for now, but it might appear eventually, because such a gun was mounted on the PT-76, the penetration of this gun is equal to ZiS-4 (SS: 112mm in WoT)
- new tier 8 premium MT's? "When it's done, if at all"
- according to SerB there is no connection between the illegal "warpack" mod pack and the introduction of illegal WoT clones (SS: yes, people ask such daft stuff)
- the tank mobility calculation won't be published, it's "very complicated"
- premium MT with autoloader? ("if we ever plan such a thing, we'll tell you")
- improved armor mechanics in 0.8.6 are "just a part of the whole"
- all servers have the same game mechanics, this won't change
- in very far future, it's possible there will be researchable tank hulls as modules
- theoretically it's possible that on one map, there could be more variants of the same gamemode (SS: as in for example assault with the base on various spots), but the devs will most likely do no such thing, since the people are confused even now as it is
- tank visual models will be slowly re-made in order to prepare for the option of tanks flipping over (for example by adding bottom escape hatches), but this is not the deciding factor in this feature

    1. Wonderful, I've 200k xp on GWtiger (and hated every one of the games i did with it) and I'm in Germany, far away from my home and computer, so I will receive a GWpanther with 200k xp? 200k/25 = 8k gold. Well at least they gave us some times to adjust ourself. <3 WG <3

    5. TBH, I doubt that. Considering the leaks about the continuous tier shifts in the supertest, the open test (which lasts in case of no problems 2 weeks) will reveal even more problems.

    1. Well, they most likely lack the acceleration to get past 30 on flat. Effectively, it would just make them faster downhill, which is rather situational (though it would result in some lulzy rams).

    3. Actualy both KT and JT have pretty powerful engines right now and they achieve their present top speed (28km/h) pretty easily unlike IS-7, so this top speed buff might be really useful...on IS-7 not that much unless you go downhill..

    4. The KT have similar HP/ton but a bit worse track friction (13 hp/ton vs 14, 1.4 friction on standard soil vs 1.1) as the KV-1S, which easily reach 42 kph on flat ground.

      I'd expect the KT to reach about 35 kph on flat ground if the speed limit was removed entirely (which i seriously doubt will happen)

  4. Yes, so for example I have a Obj 212 with 100kXP, I will end up with a new T7 with 100k XP. And they are completely worthless, because I will have researched T8 and T9 (new Obj212?) anyway?
    Seems like a VERY bad solution ...

    6. Sixense, your 20k XP on 261 SHOULD go with it to T10. I can't believe they would leave it at Tier 8.
      In my opinion all arty and modules should be researched upto the level of your highest arty in the line. The XP needed for T8 arty has always been about the same as for T10 heavies. I really can't bear the though of having to go back and fill in the gaps.

    1. The difference in performance envelope has shrunk of late it seems.

      But when your 'competition' at tier 7 is the SU-152 and it's unbelievable DPM with the top 122, there's gonna be some warping.

    3. No it doesn't. When thrown in hundreds of games across all types of maps, modes, and bad teammates the SU-122-44 does end up behind the T25, Jagdpanther, and possibly the Ac Mle 1946.
      The 122-44 is only OP in a tier 7 match, as soon as tier 8's and 9's show up its performance drops way behind most of the normal tier 7 TD's.

      Hell in a tier 9 match I'd rather have an SU-100M1 than the SU-122-44.

    Just noticed this first and wondered the following.
    Does this mean 'limited tier spread' for the first X games or otherwise limited to 'favorable teams' for the first X games?

    Historical ok, but then I'm wondering why they included the 59-16 as a tier 6 with more or less tier ~5 performance guns?
    It would be like giving the 34-85 the S-51 as a top gun.
    Ps I'm not a 59-16 driver, I'm holding back from it because of this.

      QB is a great player who I'm certian is able to carry any team to victory in an M3 lee, he uses the tank's streighs and tries to compensate for the weaknesses.

      The SU-100Y have a good gun and good acceleration/turn rate but it have worse armor than most tier 4 tanks but the size and camo of a Maus, good luck hiding it on open maps. It also lacks anything that resemble gun depression (-5 degrees), which was shown near the end of the video you provided.

      I'm pretty sure you can deal 2500 dmg and get 7 kills in a jagdpanzer 4 on himmelsdorf, you just need to face a similarly crappy team (notice the XVM mod, almost everyone is dark red while QB is purple (if you don't know, that's the highest normal skill rank, beside the... unused grey which indicate over 10'000 efficiency))

      All low tier premium tanks are at least slightly OP (except maybe the Valantine LL).

      Its quicker to create a list of higher tier premium tanks that are not at least as good as same tier regular tanks: FCM50, Dickermax, Pz4 Smallturm, Matilda BP (& AT15A maybe). Thats 4 (or 5) out of 24.

      Of course you would praise all the strengths of the SU-100Y without actually acknowledging any of its faults what so ever. Its not an OP tank, its a clumsy POS that if you get hit by it, it was your own damn fault.
      The Jagdpanzer IV is ironically the single best tank in the game for countering the SU-100Y.
      The SU-100Y is huge, has no armor, and an abysmal view range, and its accuracy is underwhelming.
      The Jagdpanzer IV has one of the best camo profiles in the game, is very small and is very hard to hit with meh-accuracy guns, and an obscenely high DPM for a tier 6.

      Combine the two together and the SU-100Y gets obliterated and the JPIV doesn't even get touched. Urban environments is literally the only situation where the SU-100Y can perform very well.

      That beast has bigger chance to 1-2 shot anything it opposes bar T7 tanks than KV-1S which is just tad worse in alpha, but has lower DPM for sustained fire... SU-100Y eats almost everything...

      Also SU-122 44 is not balance at all, DPM is freaking good and armor is better than any T7 TD... and do not forget good camo value with very good mobility...

    10. The SU-122-44 is only really OP in tier 5-7 matches. Once tier 8's and 9's begin to show up its potency drops like a brick to the point where the Ac Mle 1946, Jagdpanther and T25 are all far more useful in those situations.

      Again you're ignoring the weaknesses of the SU-100Y [well, actually I don't know if you're the same poster]. Yes, low armor is a disadvantage when everything in tier 5 and many tanks in tier 4 can easily pen you at any distance... and for that matter can see and hit you at any distance too

      Big is a SERIOUS problem given that it has possibly the worst camo profile in the game, worse than the Maus. Combined with its terrible view range the SU-100Y is the most likely tank in the game to get obliterated before it even sees the enemy.

      The Russian premium TD's are definitely better than some none premium tanks in their tiers, I'd definitely take an SU-100Y over an ARL V39 [well, in most situations anyway] and I'd definitely take the SU-122-44 over the SU-152 or T25/2. That doesn't inherently make them OP though.

    12. I can't see SU-122 44 being balanced in any way... In comparison it has best armor, close to top mobility. Gun is what it is... but for me even SU-152 wasn't such a bad grind ( 72% win, 122mm just has monster DPM ) even with subpar 175 penetration in comparison. It turns like shit but still it was reasonable grind... SU-122 44 gets mobility upgrade and armor upgrade on same package merely losing some DPM on the way. How is that balanced?

      SU-100Y is just tad worse in mobility. Being big as house, but it still packs sucker punch which is beyond scope. It should be on par with SU-152 mobility to be on par with being premium on below tier + premium... It was supposed to have bad turning speed to compensate... but it didn't.

      Those two are just not balanced, if they where T8 with same sort of advantages I would use them... Because they rock anything they encounter, sure you can't engage high tier tanks as easily, but one must remember it shouldn't be easy...

    Me gusta this flipping tanks thing, its a step further realism, witch is good.

    Also, tanks achieving higher speeds while going downhill is also good.

  13. I could imagine that the arty changes will be somewhat different from what many people expect.
    Today arties play like some kind of long range sniper with random accuracy. However, the nerfs that were leaked don't tell anything about the splash damage so far. I suspect that the new features of:
    "tracked tanks generate credits when consecutively damaged"
    and
    "splash damage is recieved when hiding behind a wrecked tank"

    -lead to arties new role as splash damage dealer. Would also fit with the "nuclear" comment... So, no longer high alpha dmg hits on single targets but reasonable splash damage and module damage distributed over a much larger area(even on low tiers).
    The new advantage of highly armored vehicles like Maus etc. would then be a significant reduction of arty splash damage (even more than it is now and especially when combined with spall liner). Just my 2 cents...

    1. Yes if an SPG is bumped up a tier some things get nerfed - aiming speed, loading speed etc - but others, like damage and splash, get buffed to be comparable with the tank it displaces. There may be a slight overall nerf if the top tiers are not any more powerful at T10 as they were at T8. WG are not going to fuck with the balance too much.

      SerB is having a jolly old time trolling both end of the "ARTY PROBLEM" spectrum.

      If they are going to flip tanks in the future it will need to be wshit loadsoads of HE and what is going to deliver that?
