2.5.2013

- female voices for WoT are not planned
- US tier 7 or 8 premium TD, Russian tier 6 premium arty? "If necessery"
- it's not realistic to expect retroactive medal awards
- Aufklärungspanzer Panther "will get a Mk.103 30mm cannon if the players who ask for it find a proof such a cannon was planned for it - really was planned, not just "could fit"", statistically it's fine according to SerB
- Batchat arty shell velocity was not nerfed
- apparently, Matilda BP was not changed lately (SS: some player complained about lower toughness of frontal armor)
- when a module is damaged - but not damaged enough to reach a yellow status, it is not repaired. Module autorepair activates only when the module is yellow (50 percent HP) and works until its HP reaches 50 percent.
- wet stowage module works by simply adding more HP to the ammorack module, that's why the ammorack module gets yellow later. Cyclone filter works on the same principle.
- apparently there is a bug on the new Pearl River map, some players experience nasty fps drops when playing it
- new ammo types (for example incendiary) are still planned, but works on them have not yet begun
- Q: "Will there be a tank heavier than 200 tons in game?" A: "Ratte won't be implemented"
- gas turbines won't be implemented (SS: damn, I really hoped for the GT101 at some point)
- woodgas engines (used by German for training tanks) and steam engines (allegedly there was a steam-powered KV) won't be implemented
- track module HP of T-62 was not increased in 0.8.5
- no info yet on the new tier 10 vehicles
- Q: "What about the difference between Russian and European gift shop offers?" A: "Envy is bad."
- if a player meets SerB in battle and teamdamages, blocks or swears at him, we will get banned
- removed speed governor consumable doesn't remove a fixed amount of hp per second, it removes a percentage of HP - eg. addind cyclonic filters doesn't make the engine turn yellow later according to SerB
- winter maps will come soon, more desert maps will come... not so soon
- sixth sense is not bugged, it lights up correctly, according to SerB cases where you get damaged when not lit up can be caused by blind fire
- physical shells (with mass) aren't planned, not even for rocket tanks like Sturmtiger
- SerB confirmed that players will be banned for the "modpack" (SS: the stuff I posted about earlier)
- in future, it will be possible for various server clusters (Americans, Europeans, Russians, SEA) to fight each other via a "roaming" system
- the Japanese superheavy (SS: tier 10) tank weights 140 tons
- the info about VK2002DB comes "from the Germans"
- "smooth ride" perk doesn't make shells fall near the center of the aim circle more often, the distribution is always the same

    1. I call this abuse of his position of power. Good old SerB apparently does not live his communist ideals.

    2. Who said he was a communist? Just because he's from an EX Soviet country...

    3. Who said soviets were real communists anyway?

    8. It is confirmed SerB abuses his power, he doesn't file a ticket to the support, he will use his powers to do so. I would really love to see his face when faced with the amateurs in the support yabbing nonsense at him. Then he would realize how futile it is for us players...

    9. Given his general attitude I'd assume he considers that a healthy object lesson in just how stupid it is to explicitly and personally piss off one of the people who, literally, *make the game you're playing*.

That sounds about as sensible as going out of your way to crash into the car of the local police chief when he's in it, if you see what I mean...

Is repairing of modules done by a constant, rather than a percentage? Because if so, adding the cyclonic filters actually makes it worse...

    1. Well actually, repair consumable fix the module to 200% while crew fixes it always to 50%. I'm not sure if crew fix rate is a set number or also % but it still gives advantage of having more hp so it takes more to destroy the module.

VK20.02D ? Is there any infos about this tank?

Yeah he can dish it out but he can't take it.

Can someone ask SerB why the Aufk Panther has the G hull?

So, not only we have siemkas now, but it would be possible to fight against/with russkies, mehican gringos, chinese faggets etc. It's gonna be one hell of a circus.

So... Tiger I armed with the 8.8 cm KwK 43 L/71 really was planned?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Tiger wouldn't be doing fine statistically without L/71. Aufkl. Panther apparently is doing fine without 30mm so the only reason to add that would be realism.

      Delete
    2. Was it also *techically feasible* or another "let's put 7,5cm L/70 on the Pz IV" idea?

      Delete
    3. I've seen a bluepront of it, s I suppose it should at least fit somehow.

But the 3cm on the Failpanther is pointless anyway, the penetration is "OK" on a compact, highly mobile tier V- but on a 40 ton tier VII brick? Hardly.

    5. Turret was made and apparently tested. I wrote on this for the NA forums: http://forum.worldoftanks.com/index.php?/topic/217137-tiger-i-with-88-cm-kwk-43-l71/

    6. Tested, but did it see action with it? Still looks really ridiculous though, like the Tiger is on viagra.

      Delete
    7. Fair enough. So what'd the test results say?

      Delete
    8. Would be better if WG made the long 88 Tiger a premium like they did for the Pzkpfw IV Schmalturm.

      Delete
    9. then the Tiger I would be failing miserably...

    10. I honestly dont care for mere drawings. If it never saw action with thelong 88 then it shud not exist.

I think SerB needs to go away and check that again.

I'm pretty certain the comments on repair are wrong too, at least that's not how it was.

  8. I experienced the FPS bug on Pearl River last night, the game dropped to 10 FPS and became completely unplayable. I had been running at 40 FPS before this.

  9. FYI, there is also an South Korean Server :)

  10. Quote from EU WoT wikia
"While activated, it adds 10% to engine power (and therefore, vehicle acceleration), but your tank's engine suffers 1.5 hitpoints damage for each second you are accelerating. That means your engine can break down during the battle."
Plus have tried using on several tanks (while I did not measure the exact time) as far as I remember KV-1 engines died from damage a lot faster than for example type 59. Not entirely sure, as that was long ago and lately I almost don't use the Removed Speed Governor at all.

Could someone test it on different tanks? Like BT-2 has a lot less engine hitpoints than T62a so it should last longer.

    1. From personal observation without timing it my removed speed governor equipped Obj261 engine lasts longer with cyclone filter fitted than without.

      Delete
    2. Tried running the Remove Speed Governor on a stock engine SU-18 (same engine as the MS-1), it lasted all of about 5 seconds before the engine went yellow (another 5 and it went red). Hard for me to believe it is a set percentage.

how can this be possible if the release date of new versions is different from place to place.

    1. "In the future" is some time after "Soon(TM)" and before, or possibly even after, "never".

Presumably in this future all servers will get updated at the same time.

  14. Hey, I wanted to ask.

A friend of mine said he read on wot-news.com that the fcm 50t is supposed to be nerfed.
Do you have any info about it?

It's supposed to have normal mm (no longer t8-t9)

Are there no tanks in the game where such a "real life plan" doesn't exist but does in the game?

    1. I personally don't see why they wouldn't put it, the original turret on it is the Leopard's turret, and the Leopard's turret has the Mk.103. Would also make it slightly easier to grind to the later turret that can have the Konisch.

  16. - gas turbines won't be implemented

A bit of a problem as the expected tier 10 TD of the combined EU tree has a gas turbine. The Swedish S-103 has some advanced tech, despite being prototyped as early as in the 40s.

    ReplyDelete
  17. the S-103 would be a pain in the rear in WoT. it has 0 traverse and technically speaking, 0 elevation, the elevation was all done via the suspension system.

  18. - removed speed governor consumable doesn't remove a fixed amount of hp per second, it removes a percentage of HP - eg. addind cyclonic filters doesn't make the engine turn yellow later according to SerB

    ----

Yeah right, that's why it breaks the engine within a minute on a light tanks, but on KV-5 can be turned on at the start of the battle and then pretty much left on for half of the battle at least.
