Are they planning on modifying the range of the M7 and M37?
I see that accuracy is going to hell, all across the board... Sigh. 0.5 accuracy and T57 trolling is at an end... Oh well, I am not really surprised because even as an artillery player I knew they were way too accurate. $5 will give you $20 that people will still complain like crazy when they get one shot by artillery. Now if only the bouncing aim box could be fixed so that it resets itself less often when you move the window all of 2 meters and clip a rock. NEMO.

Well, he's just right.. as a matter of fact, the most thrilling battles, action loaded are without Artillery.. And you're actually not playing an Artillery, you are playing a Bomb-Loaded-Drone, which is remote controlled by a Vehicle that looks like an Post-WWII Vehicle at the other end of the Map, from where you can steer faggot-like this drone and drop Bombs on Tanks that are far out line of Sight - and with some luck feel like a God when you oneshot a Player that is trying to give its best in Terrain.. -> noone fkin needs U! ;-) Nerf Arty to dev/null and beyond! ;-)
I guarentee you will suffer much moar after this nerf comes live ... you will get oneshot not only by enemy arty, but also by your own inaccurate arty, LOL
Battles without arty turn into hiding behind corners and peeking out to make a shot. Arty is designed to make people think tactically, without it the battle turns into "over the hill"/"behind the corner" peek-a-boo duels (called "swings" in Russian) which are boring.
And battles with arty turn into idiots hiding behind rocks and not peeking out to make a shot because you'll get nailed by arty. It's no better when you lock down 80% of hiding spots because some orbital strike that you can't see coming might nail you from nowhere.
They don't turn into anything. Every battle is full of idiots, and every battle will always be full of idiots, no matter how or when changes are made. There are some maps that are better without arty. There are some maps that are absolutely awful without arty. There are some maps where arty just doesn't make a difference one way or another. That's how the game is.

All those noobs crying for removing arty are the same noobs which cry "OMG, arty kill Matilda", "OMG, arty kill these ATs ASAP!!!!" etc. They don't know weakspots, they don't know nothing about their own guns and tanks, they have no idea about tactics, they have most of their brain turned off.Even after removing arty the same pussies will cry for overpowered TDs, bouncing HTs etc. and will be crying until their own tank will have 300 mm armour everywhere and gun with 500 pen, 5000 alpha damage, 3s reload, 0.10 accuracy and aiming time 1 s.It's hard to believe how this hated arty is warmly welcomed when team has 20% chances for win, arty kills IS-3 or AT 8 / AT 15 and whole team can win.
M37 and M7 switching? What the hell WG?
Historically the m37 was designed to REPLACE the m7. I do not know why WG put them in switched order in the first place.
They're destroyed the M7 Priest. Dropped a tier and halved the RoF. They may have made a mistake, but they'd have been better off renaming them. I have a crew at 90% on their first skills in the priest. I play that rather than the M37 because I like the rapid gamplay. What have I got now? I can take my M37 out or buy the M41 butcan I be bothered any more?
The reason for this is that the M7 Priest has a crossover link from the M3 Lee (because it's based on the Lee chassis). So the Priest had to be at least the same tier as the Lee. The M37 post-dates the Priest, so now that they're expanding the tree from below they no longer need to perform this contortion to make the branches line up correctly.
Oh man. Not only making arty disappear in game, They did no touch for vehicle weight, Too. For now typical SPGs have only 50~52% of weight compare as same tier tank, with regard for 25% additional points. For example, Tier 8 SPG are equall to tier 10 medium in battle tier. Tier 8 tanks have 40 point, but for SPG it have additional 25% weight so tier 8 SPG have 50 point. That is only half of tier 10 medium tanks, which have 100 points of vehicle weight.So it is simple: More SPG we have, then enemy have much more strong tanks. :( No one need SPG in their team; vehicle weight hog, but not any means to exist. bad.At least they should remove additional 25% that assigned by SPG.
I think there is a rule in MM to have same number of arties per team.
If only it actually worked out that way. Not counting pure and simple screwups (which do happen but are fairly rare, no matter what people say), the MM restriction on difference in arty was relaxed at some point to make MM smoother. You often get one side with a greater number of lower-tier arty and the other with a smaller number of higher-tier arty; this can be a big problem in the tier 3-5 hole where a lot of the low-tier arty don't have full range, then if they stick you on a map where there are no good forward spots to stick your arty, the side with the low tiers gets boned.
Also on the T92 the reload time is longer (2.625s) and aim time is longer 0.6s. At least, according to the wiki. 10 deg per second vs 19 deg per second (wiki) transverse and an elevation arc of 0-65 degrees vs only 0-45 degrees(wiki). +-12 right and left like usual. Pen is still the same and it looks like the rest is the same although I am not 100% sure on the weight. Need some more math for that. And after one last look speed is 32kph vs the 40kph (wiki). High Angle Shells inbound. =) <<<A Plus? Can't be... NEMO.
Looks like the T92 will be the only useful arty, if people even play arty at all after this. I don't even play arty much and this seems a bit extreme to me.
God help the hapless newbie who picks an arty as his first tier 2 tank, because with a 50% crew, no splash damage, and 0.8ish base accuracy with a 5-6 second base aim time, he will never hit anything ever. It's just flat out impossible.

Without artillery, there's less action and not more. Just see how city maps (which are typically less influenced by artillery) are played - people gather behind the corners and try to catch the moment someone peeks out.No one in their right minds will drive in the open, with artillery or not. Game features enough sniper tanks (e.g. nearly all German tanks) that will kill you from distance before you even drive close to them.What they should do is to also nerf accuracy on Russian/US heavies, so that hitting anything farther than 100m would be next to impossible.

scouts wont have any real purpose on the battlefield....if arty isnt effective anymore then why have scouts to kill them.....all they will be is free targets for the higher tier

Almost no one noticed, that T92s 240 mm howitzer has there buff? Elevation arc 0..45 -> 0..65 ? Do you know what does it mean? This means, that T92 has higher elevation, so it can much better hit targets behind some cover or at some sloped terrain... Yes, its still inaccurate as hell, but still..AND moreover, better angle means, that it has higher possibility of landing at upper parts of armour which is often VERY weak. Summary: its hard as hell to hit sth, but if you hit directly, enemy is probably almost dead... and if someone likes to camp ("this is my favourite rock/building"), can be punished with Shell of Doom... But it will be RNG as hell.. unless this "secret feature" change sth more in gameplay.

I'm polar on this since I'm one of few people who can see that WoT is actually 2 games - one on low tiers and one on high tiers... My opinion is: GTFO with arty on high tiers, it breaks the game since brawling in huge tanks becomes stale with good arty and leave it alone on low tiers because it'll dumb down the game totally, also expect increase in friendly fireFrom biased point of view - if they touch Hetzer and T57 Arty - I'm outta here...

Looking at the stats you would regularly go a whole battle without hitting a thing with most of those low tier arty. All I can imagine is that anyone that still wants to grind the arty lines will just troll around as a TD trying to get one or two hits in point blank.Lwo tier arty is finished as far as I can see.
Now to be most realistic, lets make that guns would not be able to go past buildings. This would be realy realistic, and make all whiners whine a lot more, lol.

Fair enough. However, I hope you read this article on this same site . My main conclusion from it is that, to be true to life, arty should be both less accurate AND with much bigger splash. Yet they earlier nerfed the (already unrealistically small) splash.I feel for you, you think all arty players are retards and that tanks alone should rule the battlefields. I guess German tankers in WWII also thought that, but guess what? On the Western front they got pinned and f*cked without mercy (and without the ability to fight back) by airplanes. You feel arty is somehow unfairly reducing your winning chances? Wait till air support is introduced (probably not).Until 8.6 is introduced, I hope you suck it. And after that I think only the best arty players will stick to their machines. Which means these very inaccurate machines, coupled with the very best players behind them, will still hopefully have your arse many times over.
