The Löwe thing. I cant compare, just bought the Löwe with recent discount. moneymaking feels like a Tiger with PA and 50-80% income boost (like we had in some specials recently). so its fine for me, i like its perfomance also...
But i can understand, some people feel ripped off if they bought it in those days it was more profitable.
This would be a scandal bigger than anything before IMHO.

ReplyDeleteYes, when my platoon mate (AMX 13 90) being stationary was T-boned by a T-54 doing max speed, the T-54 wedged itself under the AMX, killing it, and he kept pushing the AMX wreck in a "pwnt u noob" manner while still being under it partially, for like 20 meters, that way he did more than 600 dmg to himself before he realized.
I also experimented with a friend in a training room and parked a Pz38nA on top of his KV-5 (intentional disproportion), kept stationary on his hull (like I was just parked on the ground) and we both were constantly receiving damage. After Pz was destroyed, KV kept receiving damage. Also, I had to work hard to stay on top of him like that because the physics engine was trying hard to push me down to either side.
Also happened to me. But unfortunately, you dont get the kill, if your wreck destroys the tank. :-(

ReplyDeleteI've seen this happen in ramming situations as well. Your tank is hit and destroyed but the wreck slides into the enemy tank doing damage.

Vert Stabilizer mounted only for tier 8 and above, isnt?
Vert Stab can fit on tier 7 (T29,Easy8)

ReplyDeleteCurrently tier VI, VII and VIII artillery all go to the battles with tier X tanks at the top. This problem leads to the another, greater problem and that is.. 5 arty per team in those battles..
DeleteBy expanding branches of SPGs up to tier X, they will also recive a new MM system.. by which they will act same as other tanks [ Except some light tanks/scouts ]. So the artillery of tier VI and VII won't go to tier X battles anymore.. and you will get less vehicles of that kind in high tier battles.

Well.. by my opinion, that will indeed be a solution to slightly reduce amount of SPG's in high tier battles.. but one problem could occur in lower tiers now [ V, VI, VII ], because those SPG's will now be "easily" researched and will be quite interesting to play..

ReplyDeleteThere is still bug. I jumped, landed and ride 5-10m and then hited enemy destroyed tank and I died and he had kill. So it is not only when you fall.

Yes, obviously, you can do both with arty. The player was complaining that you can't do both with TD too (because the mouse hull positioning in TD snipermode would be awkward).

DeleteActually, i'd like quite the opposite: when i turn TD in sniper mode i still have the "hull brake" engaged and i can keyboard-turn as much as i want, but when i go back to arcade mode it's gone and i instantly mouse-turn which is !@#$ - is there any way to make it not disengaging automatically upon turning?
Similar goes for arty, only in orbit mode any keyboard turn automatically disengages hull-brake and it's instantly visible, so it's a bit better (but i still don't want it to behave that way).

There are already too many players who knows thanks to XVM that their team has for example 40% chance to win, and they are stuck in the "we'll loose no matter what" mindset from the beginning of the battle and they don't play to the full of their capability, which is annoying. For me XVM sometimes brings more bad than good.
Personally I am using xvm stats but I do not give a crap about the win chances but I do check personal stats - this way I choose reliable players to do a little tactic with.

ReplyDeleteTwo questions come to my mind:
1) Why the hell did I just extend my premium subscription?
2) When is War Thunder going to introduce tanks?
Seriously, if the new arty tier spread is going to be of noticeable help at all, it will be temporary at most. Those people who are currently playing T6/7 arties and therefore get dropped into T10+ matches will eventually have T10 arties and will still be dropped into T10+ matches.
So nothing will change at all. Still loads of arty-induced camping (arty only discourages camping when there is enough cover between you and the enemy to actually move forward from cover to cover). Removing arty cover in the map reworks does not help, either.
I used to play arty in beta and found it ridiculously easy, yet boring. I could imagine how some kinds of people could get kicks out of that gameplay.
Now, with the changed HE mechanics and reduced accuracy arty above Tier 3/4 depends way more on luck than before (I love RNG in games like this... not), yet when it hits it is pretty much just as retarded for the guy on the receiving end as before. In addition, the credit income from arty is substantially lower than in beta. I stopped wasting my time on playing arty, yet obviously many others still get kicks out of its gameplay that has hardly anything to do with the way tanks fight tanks (in WoT).
Arty gameplay is, at its core, a different game by itself and I am wishing for some kind of rework that takes some luck out of it to make skill more rewarding than a good roll at the RNG (even though a bad-mediocre roll on a higher-tier arty is devastating even for the highest-tier tanks already) and lowers the arty's effect on the tank gameplay. Removing the hardcap (which is too high right now, anyway) will not help with this.
