Supertesters in numbers

Hello everyone,

recently, I got my hands on Wargaming supertest monthly (?) evaluation sheet. I'll just post some numbers in case you are interested.

Currently, there are 720 people active on the supertest. Out of that, 2 are "translators" (everything on supertest is in Russian, at least the mail communication has to be translated to english), 32 are "coordinators"and the rest (686) are regular supertesters.

Out of regular supertesters, 66 are Europeans, 1 is American and the rest are Russians. Supertesters are required to perform a certain amount of tests per months, otherwise they get a warning first and then they get fired. This doesn't seem to be working, as most supertesters seem to log in just to "look at the new stuff" Currently, roughly one half of supertesters performed 5 tests or less per month and 254 out of those 720 did NOTHING at all for the last month. Lol.

This has of course consequences. Currently out of those 720, 85 people recieved a warning (sometimes for funny reasons: spamming, messing up tests, breaking the rules of screenshot taking. AFK in test client... supertest must be a great place). Interesting fact is that all those people who have warnings are Russians.

Furthermore out of those 720, 118 people are getting fired. Out of those 118, 4 are Europeans and out of those 4, 2 are Czechs (lol, good job, Xitix and majogl, nice representation).

Each supertester is being marked by a number of points. According to those points (indirectly) he is "paid" with gold. Total number of points awarded for this month was 20691, out of which the best supertester got 402, second best 380 - both Russian. Best EU supertester is 16th.

  1. why do the EU guys get fired, when The Russians are doing the shit? :D
    Consequence of your leak?

    1. No, hardly (the guy who leaked this stuff didn't get fired, funnily enough). From what I could gather, you get fired either for incompetence, or for not having enough points.

    2. or messing up SerB

    3. Forgot to mention that gold is provided to Ru servers ONLY. So if you're from EU you will get gold to Ru server account :))))

    4. But dont they have a EU supertest now?

  2. what is the points to gold ratio?

    402 points = 402 gold?
    id guess more, no?

    1. No, points aren't related directly to this. The leaker told me this: basic pay is 3000 gold every 180 battles you play on supertest server and the maximum amount is 37k if you manage to play 720 battles per month. But get this: only Russians get paid, because the payments are paid only on RU server accounts. At least that's what I was told.

    2. "But get this: only Russians get paid, because the payments are paid only on RU server accounts."

Welp, if this is true, then I don't really want to help out testing.
Just knowing that my contributions won't get rewarded, but lazy russians get it really puts of all my interest in the supertest. (Except just being a douche and just try out the new vehicles.)

    3. Lol, 37,000 gold for playing 720 battles.

      In a 30-day month that's 24 battles a day.

    4. So, are the changes planned to reward european and american supertesters aswell? Seems quite unreasonable to me.

  3. What is the "minimum required tests number", and any approximation do you have, how long it takes to do them?

  4. As a veteran player on the NA server, is there any chance of becoming a SuperTester myself? And How would I go about applying for it.

    1. You'll have to wait for another supertest recruiting drive, which will most likely be soon, because many people got fired. I think your best bet is to ask your US community organizer about it.

    2. I will, thank you for the tip and the excellent info presented in your blog.

  5. Do you have to communicate with the devs (rate new tanks or make proposals) in order to prevent getting fired, or is it sufficient to play (lots of) battles on the supertest server on a regular basis?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. As far as I know, there are massed events that are required to participate with, you get told what to play with and how. But I don't know much about this, I never asked or cared. There is some limit of battles you have to play.

    2. I was a supertester a year ago or something , u actualy dont communicate with dev's, its coordinator work , after few test games , they send screenshoots and and %w/r of the tank tested .

  6. meh. another job NOT for me (i have 2 fps in the published game so i bet WG coordinators would think i'm crazy to even think i can supertest). btw 619 russian supertesters? and they get payment while others don't? this game is realy communist lol

    1. oh i forgot to ask: can you transfer your gold to your "main" account or how do they pay the gold for you?

      Delete
    2. I think the gold is paid into your main account, as the supertest accounts receive huge amounts of gold and silver to play around with...

  7. I was thinking about trying for SuperTesting. The fact that only Russians get payed (gold) really makes me sad,I really hope you`re wrong.

Anyway,if I become a SuperTester and I get fired will this affect my normal account?

    1. I am not sure what consequences it has, but I don't think so, unless you are in some serious breach of contract

    2. As long as you dont breach the nda (get kicked by just inactivity or etc) your normal account is safe.

    3. I know it's a lot to ask,but can your source confirm that no EU player get payed?

  8. Huh only russians get paid? no wonder their supertesters are leaking stuff then. That sucks!

  9. And from that retardorioum of lazyness, bad working practices, cheating, and undisciplined russian supremacy is where our game comes from.

I think that i´m starting to understand many things.

  15. Average battle length is (5-10 minutes) approximately 7.5 minutes. For 720 battles in a 30 day month you would need to play 24 battles per a day which works out to approximately 3 hours a day, or 90 hours in a 30 day month. For 37000 gold the cost in USD is approximately 150 dollars: 150$/90hr = ~1.5$/hr, or ~46 rubles an hour, or ~1.15 euros an hour.

    1. Just did. He confirms that EU supertesters do get paid but only if they open an account on RU server.

    2. So the gold will be transfered to RU server account?

      Delete
    3. And I suppose they receive the gold on the RU account.

The only reason for which I would be sorry to start another account is my crew as I would lose all my skills. But with that amount of gold I could just buy a JagdTiger 8.8,train my crew for 2 skills and than start re-grinding the German TDs,after all I`ll reach the panther (my current tank) in less then two weeks....

Keep up the great work SS. The informations regarding Supertest(ers) are really usefull.

      @Treboen:

As long as SS doesnt post his information regarding Supertest in the official forums ...

    3. She got fired.

As for myself - I don't care much. If they ban me - so be it, I'll make a new game account eventually and will stay away from the forums. Simple enough.

But TBH, I don't think that in regards to this I broke any rules by posting supertest stuff. This is my private blog, I can post whatever I want, I am not bound by any NDA. Yes, I "talked about it" in the official thread, but for that they could have banned me a long time ago already.

    4. If you don't link to forum, you should be fine. If you linked supertest stuff to forum, go, rrun remove it...
What someone publishes on another site on the internet, doesn't fall under their EULA.
Afterall it could just all be rumours and him playing tricks on us. ;)
Not that I assume you do, just from a legal point of view, I don't see any EULA rules broken here on this very page.
      Anyways, just my 2cents...

    5. Question is though, am I still allowed to link to your blog on forum, or are all links to it sanctionable, because there's some stuff here wargaming doesn't like to be disclosed?

      Delete
    6. okay, got message back, generally linking to your blog on forum will result in warning by wg staff, as long as the supertest stuff is up here. Seems they're pretty pissed off...

at best, will they be indifferent) in the worst case - supertest for the European region will be closed. Again.

Unusual Russian testers at least understand that they are helping to make one of the toughest games of our time, which is played by millions of people.

Some members of the European community - do not understand. But in vain.
The consequences will be, and will affect not only one particular blog, but because of one particular blog.

  19. As a Former supertester I can say with all confident There wasnt really an Na present from the start. We sat for 3 months without passwords for the supertest server. Then our Na Contact was Gone and also located in Perth au. So time to communicate wasnt good and his replacement left. Then we were sacked never having tested anything.

    1. We HAD a presence back in 2011 (I was actually 3rd in command after X32Wight and Navycuda), then the NA and EU got dissolved or something in an attempt to reorganize it. That lead to the second drive (which I assume was when you were recruited) which had us in limbo until Tanitha was transferred to SEA.

I still miss the ST but the communication was awful as everything was in Russian and our translator was overworked (I still love you cannoneer!) I wonder who the lone American is, my money is that its X32Wight :P

  21. Hello.

If you think you will make gold or profit by being a supertester, don't apply. Then this is not for you. The game is still free to play.

However. If you want to be a supertester, you can with a minimum of participation, have a voice and a chance to make the game better, and get to be in the center of things happening within the game you love to play.

If Silentstalker was a smarter lad (in my opinion), he would have applied for supertest, as he knows a helluvalot about tanks, and is a fan of the game. He could've brought great input into making the game better, but chose to focus on negatives and spread things given to him out of context, without taking any responsibility in doing so.

Do tell me, what is the thought behind the things you post? Apart from the excellent translations. To build or to destroy?

Looking forward to a constructive answer

  22. Dear numbnut,

Get your facts straight before you start sprouting crap. Majogl and XiTiX quit due to real life stuff. They. were. not. fired.

But you had to go and bash them, just because they are Czech. Way to go...

Please stop posting bullshit and stop bashing people.
