(not many today)
- according to Storm, ramming collision model works fine (SS: player was complaining that tracks eat up way too much ramming damage)
- Storm is testing, whether the new Nvidia drivers from yesterday work properly with WoT (SS: so far, according to Russian feedback, the new drivers work just fine)
- apparently, there is no "excessive" damage, external modules don't eat damage (SS: players were complaining about tracks and gun eating damage and only the leftover damage being transferred to the enemy tank HP, Storm says there is no such thing)
- track repair time based on the speed the vehicle was going when detracked won't be implemented
- later vehicles such as Abrams, Challenger and T-72 will NOT be implemented
- it's not yet decided how the EU tree crewmembers will work, it's too soon to tell

Who are these numbskulls who ask for modern tanks?
ReplyDeleteit's only a logical progression, isn't it
Deleteeither way, it's not gonna happen since the armor values and composition for these tanks are still deemed secret
they said at least one thousand times there will be no modern tanks in the game..
DeleteEventually, too keep the game alive, they will have to include some sort of modern armor.
ReplyDeleteWith the two tier spread, I think it is quite feasible.
Denii from EU server.
Either that or they can make it as a special mod or completely new game with only modern tanks :)
DeleteThe current game mechanics do not allow modern tanks. Thats it. There are plenty of other things that could be extended in the game
DeleteHaha, I bet T-72 would kick Abrams' ass :))
ReplyDeleteAs it should :))
DeleteHilarious to see that you really think a T-72 will beat a m1 abrams.
DeleteThat tank was designed to counter T-72,T-62 and T-55.
There is a decade difference in those tanks.
The M1 has an effective range of 3000 meters!
T-72 was mainly designed as a simple and cheap replace of T-55 and T-62 and wasn't meant to fight western modern tanks. The main force against modern tanks should have been the T-80.
Delete"Meetings" of T-72 and M1/M60/Challenger weren't successful, but i have no references to that.
Dudes, the first two guys weren't serious (hence the smileys). It was just another reference to so-called "russian bias". ;)
DeleteI have actually one postitive experience with the new Nvidia driver on my laptop computer, because my FPS rised from average 22 on 306.XX driver to average 29 on the new 314.07 driver :)
ReplyDeleteapparently, there is no "excessive" damage, external modules don't eat damage (SS: players were complaining about tracks and gun eating damage and only the leftover damage being
ReplyDeleteDidn't Serb say the complete opposite last time?
appearently, serb doesnt know as much about the game as we thought.
DeleteEven i knew that this was complete bs. Ive never seen a gun making less than minimum dmg, which should have been possible according to his statement.
Guys, remember there are different ammo types. AP ammo can't do less than minimum damage, as you say. But HE ammo can, and I would say that's the source of confusion and questions asked by people who don't understand the battle/penetration mechanics. You can't assume that the question silently implies AP ammo. For example, if you'd expect your KV-2 to do somewhere around 700 dmg or nothing, and you see 200 smd dealt, you'd be "WTF, how, what, where?" - if you didn't know the mechanics, that is.
Deletesmd -> dmg*
DeleteSerB said external modules eat shell penetration, not its dmg
ReplyDeleteWell, no, damage was mentioned too, as I remember there was something about damage smaller than minimum damage of the weapon being dealt to the tank.
DeleteMaybe because of the new T10 brit TD? It's HESH gold ammo can do less dmg and not everyone realize that it's because of HE mechanics after failed pen
