World of Tanks DDOSed

Apparently, the saturday night WoT lagfest is caused by a DDOS attack, it was mentioned on the general ingame chat by one of the moderators. Seriously, who the fuck bothers with that shit...

  2. It's cause of the revolt stuff.

People hate it, EVERYONE hate it.

They are trying to make WG understand it.

    Gooddamn motherfuckin bielorussian faggots.

    1. You mean the Clanwars feature? Why the hell would anyone DDOS the game because of that?

    2. that would be because 90% of the clans who participate in CW properly (i.e. not the ones that do nothing but fight landings all week and then maybe land for one day once a month) agree that this new "feature" ruins the gameplay, making any sort of strategic planning, coordinating atacks, and generally fighting another clan already on the map near impossible, right now its just quelling rebellions, and if you lose a province, and a rebellion sprouts up there you cant even take it back the next day. Frankly if that is the reason I full heatedly support whoever is doing the DDOS during CW primetime, hope they do the same today

  3. I don't think it is DoS (or DDoS).

When game servers go down, they go up. And when they go up... many... many players are trying to log in, creating "DDoS" just by trying to log in :)

    1. It is DDOS - forums are lagging too.

    2. yea, forums are lagging cause everyone its trying to access them to see what the fuck is going on, thus overloading the forum servers. Its not a fucking ddos

    3. Well it's definitely something, I doubt the servers would just crash out of the blue...

  4. I'm sure whatever the "revolt stuff" was is completely idiot and in no way justifies a DDOS attack.

  5. Welp, this sucks. I hope WG learns from this and bothers getting better servers.

  6. easy way to explain this: PTS feared that they lose many provinces, so they discussed that matter with WG and WG did a DDOS on themselves

    :D

  7. A DDOS? come on. Over the last week we had problems reaching the global cw map. Forums were buggy. Server lagged. And now on the weekend when we reached a new all time peak of more than 150k (dont know the exact number. but it was more than the 150k) the servers are gone.
For me, the servers just can´t handle this amount of players anymore. WG failed again to invest in new servers. Like they did in the past.

    1. Hey, I actually remembered the number. About an hour ago, it was 153.874 players online o.0 WG should make a separate english server for EU.

  8. Don't worry everyone WG will fix it soon enough.

They don't want their CASH COW to dry up.

All these gaming companies are the same. They won't invest until they had too, even if it's at the expense of the players.

  9. Servers are up again.
And like on every weekend they are filled with bobs :D

  10. it was caused by the spam and not because the server was overloaded

  11. Your blog is a good source of information, don't ruin your reputation by relaying one mods guesswork as fact.

We know the mods aren't given any more info by WG than we are, even the EU community team seem to be in the dark most of the time.

Probably just the cleaner pulled the wrong plug out, it happens.

  12. It was a spam attack no one believes me but there is evidence and we know who did it. I'm not sure if people just want to blame WG because there the MAN or because they just don't want to think that it was the player base that did this. However due to some recent rule changes in clan wars some people were a little upset that now it would become hard to control large amounts of territory without having to fight more often. So to show there displeasure they decided to attack the game by flooding the in game chat with spam. The special battles tab has a chat feature however its not moderated (WG failing)and people know this thus abused it by spamming until the server could no longer handle the load and fell over. There may well have been a DDOS attack but this is currently unproven. Its been done in World of warcraft as well at least twice to my knowledge and Blizard perma banned all involved because they spam attacked to stop a guild getting a world first.

  13. But still WG never will say that it was SPAM atack or DDOS, they will just say "technical problem" .

I`m just curious when WG will start listen to players...
    Oh i forgot NEVER ...

  14. if i have to put the evidence up to prove it was a spam attack i will but i suspect it might happen again Sunday night so i think WG going to find it hard to say scheduled maintenance again.

  15. don't want to buy new servers even if you make millions out of gold = greed

don't say the truth about state of old servers = backslide planned

don't give us extra x2 for crew we lost due to their greed = assholing

  16. Gasp noooo your all wrong.

It was planned maintenance according to WG Paris lol

  17. WoT and WG are not businessmen - they are amateurs - Ukrainian thugs supported by people who are gullible (myself included). Why, you might ask yourself, is there only good stuff written about WoT - because it's a good game. Yes, it's a good game - but the customer service and customer relation pard of the business SUCKS. It is the most toxic combibnation ofFrench arrogance and Soviet style oligarchy. The reason you see no bad posts is they are all on WoT sponsored sites (mostly) and WoT /WG controls them. Sure, they let a few bad comments through - but then plaster them with fanboi stuff. Read the forums carefully and you will spot the subtle missing posts that moderators have erased. Well, you won't spot them, that's the point. But, because the moderators are too few and not the brightest, you will spot the gaps in a thread or references by another post to the missing bits. Soviet style 'Ministry of Truth' and cover-up.
as they say: 'There are liars, damned liars and Ex-Soviet Bloc Games Companies'. They're all the same.

  18. I agree, I was banned on WOT a year ago after I had 10,000 plus battles and had earned many tier 10 tanks plus a T-34 that was turned premium and I also had purchased a Lowe. I lost all of this cause they said I violated the EULA by jokingly asking if anyone wanted to buy my account. I had no intention of selling it but I had someone PM me and asked if I was serious and just for kicks I told him I wanted $10,000. I found out that he was a mod and that they had trapped me. They took my account away and would not even discuss giving it back . Permanent ban. I then realized I was victim of old school communism and just had to deal with it. Those fuckers think they are cute but one day one day ....lololl DDoS you dam right it is.........Revenge is a dish best served shoved up wargamings assholes LOLOLOL eat shit fuckers
