Straight Outta Supertest - the Indienpanzer

Without further ado: the Indienpanzer

Apparently it has a 90mm top Pershing's gun (its German equivalent), weak armor and a seriously overcharged engine, possibly 1500hp.

Update: today, the Indienpanzer engine was changed to a 750hp one

  1. Nice one, thx again!

The gun looks ridiculous ... and no range finder on the turret?

  2. No Balkenkreuz of the Wehrmacht... that sounds good :)

  3. I looks kinda ugly, so it must be a good tank

  4. is that a downscaled lowe turret? O.o

  5. I hope it has excellent gun depression but that gun mantle doesn't give much hope.

I gathered ~100k exp on the DB and hope it'll be OK.

    1. when you take a close look at the picture in the link, you can see the lower und upper gun elevation! And it seems to be quiet good!

    2. The gundepression in that pic is really good, I really hope it gets that.

    3. Just did a quick and dirty angles measurement and it seems like the gundepression is around 11 deg according to Stefan's pic.

  7. a Löwe medium tank?? 1500HP engine?? is it gas turbine?

    1. No, basically an aircraft engine

    2. Well, as per the update on the post, its horsepower is now half that. and I was hoping for some speed for the lightly armoured bugger...

  8. how many xp form the vk it need?

  9. I assume its downside is the weak armor and huge size ? Iunno just guessing its pretty big or ?

    1. Yes, the armor will be thin. But the tank isn't very big.

  10. Sounds like a Pershing that is better in every way.

    ReplyDelete
  11. It seems to have ~70 degrees of frontal sloping!

  12. Hey Frank, I love your blog!

Will it still be researchable from the VK3002DB line? Or is it the "child" of the new light tank line?

  13. ugh... Tell me that's the stock turret.

    1. Actually it seems to have only one turret option.

  14. Wow, thank you so much for the picture. Looks like a small version of the Loewe tank. Seems to be some kind of super fast tank with no armour. It would be interesting to know the average penetration of the top gun. I assume something between 180-190, but it should be more since it is a more modern gun compared to the 90mm of the Pershing.

  15. DAT slope actually seems quite decent even if the armor is thin. And 1500 HP :O That thing is gonna fly around outrunning all lights :D I know how E-75 became agile and quite nimbly after i researched the 1200 HP engine and that tank is 93 tons heavy!!! This with 1500 HP and much lighter weight is gonna be awesome medium. Gun is good bcs i am driving Pershing currently and i love it's gun. Are we gonna finaly get decent/good German tank :O I sure hope so.

    1. Lulz...that lasted long...even on bloody super test server they're nerfing them!!!

  16. If that size is equivalent to the pershing's top gun, the tank cannot be that big....

    ReplyDelete
  17. Dosen't look to have the perching's gun depression, and it also seems big. Without armor and with that size it will be an easy kill if it dosen't have a good engine and ways to stay hull down. I hope they leave it with a super-powered aircraft engine, would make for an interesting tank.

Still, this is a first look impression and i might be totally wrong.
    Also, it looks kinda nice.

  18. which gun will the tier9 med get? Is it some sort of a 105mm L7, too or a other gun?

    ReplyDelete
  19. I almost chocked laughing, when I read about 1500HP engine and then immediate update about nerfing the engine by half. We are going to get a solid 18,75 hp/t. Second best to (IMPOSSIBRU!) T-44...

    ReplyDelete
  20. Why did they nerf the engine?? Lol, so this tank now has ZERO discernible benefits or qualities, weak armour weak gun, slow and heavy mini LOWE...next :(

    1. This is the supertest, they can easily buff it again, no reason to rage. BTW this exactly is why WG doesn't hand out supertest info just so, people start to rage on supertest changes. Also even IF all you said was true, they can easily buff the soft mobility stats, such as terrain resistance.

    2. I love your optimism but i'm with anon. I think we better just wait and see though.

      Delete
    3. Oh, C'mon Silent. Who's raging? Personally I find it funny. And as a general advice to raging crowd, expect the worst, so if something nice happens You'll be pleasantly surprised. :)

      Delete
    4. I'm not raging...sorry. I just want it to be GOOD so i hope it is because we need new tanks with good discernible qualities :\

    5. Are you seriously whining about not getting a 1500 HP engine? That is a p/w ratio in the 30-40 range. Most light tanks don't even have that much. And I can hardly see how the Pershing's 90mm constitutes as a "weak gun".

      Delete
    6. I din't mean you personally with the rage. I just think we'll have to wait.

      Delete
    7. Maybe the devs are trying to find their leak by giving 1500HP to certain test groups. I expect no less from the KGB.. I mean, WG.

      Delete
    8. It is German, there will be no buffs. Look at the Failowe as an example. It will have bad, bad problems in exchange for some tiny cool thing.

      Delete
  21. It looks like its only real weakness will be its tall turret, the rest of it seems like itll be small enough to either bounce or eat shells.

And with that frontal slope i can see that thing bouncing shells off beyond its armour level, and angled its going to be hard to pen.

I think even with 750hp, its still going to be a fast one, i reckon itll be much better then the pantherII smaller and more agile.

  22. we will all die

  23. Damn they down rated the engine already........shame

  24. I find it amusing that you created a huge fuss earlier this year because you were privy to information you shouldn't have... Yet here you are taking glory from information you again shouldn't have.

"Oh i'm not untrustworthy, it's the people feeding me the info"

Yet you have a choice what to do with that information and all you care for is personal gain.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. a) what exactly do I gain from this?
      b) what about all the other info I have but didn't release? :)

Also, I never pretended to be a nice guy, I am an asshole. But I do respect people who "feed" me.

  25. And how will the tech tree look like? Maybe like this (there must be a crossing somewhere, it's unavoidable)

  26. You all whiners need to shut the fk up!! this mini-lowe looks sweet. And regarding the specs, are not final. I bet the tank will be a great med.

    Thanks SS for the pic!

    ReplyDelete
  27. This tank with 1500 hp engine would have been so OP nobody would play anything except that for example 1500/45 ton = 33.33 hp/ton ratio which is alot.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. It would zip around like the ELC. Which is sideways, mostly.

      Delete
    2. And that is if it weighs 45 tons which looking on the picture and that SS said it had poor armor then I think its around 25~ton = 60 hp/ton ratio which is just absurd.
