  2. question not to leopard 1.

I fell like the vk28 has a new better mm

at the same time i also played t50-2 and thee it was always t10

so may this be true ?

    1. Yes, it now has standard tier 6 light tank MM spread (7-10). Lowest battle tier is the same, but it's missing the top two battle tiers that T-50-2 and Chaffee have. It can still meet tier 10 tanks though, so you might be a bit lucky too.

  3. oh....my....god.... it looks both awesome and beautiful to me, i'm so gonna get this tank, doesn't matter if it will suck or not XD

  4. this is leo1 tier 10 or leo 1 proto tier 9? the turret looks like the tier 9

    1. that's T10 Leo1. The T9's turret have more curves.

  6. I know it's offtopic, but can you confirm this Silentstalker please? I sold my E-50 to buy HE shells, so I can't check it out myself. And if it's real, is there any news, that it's a mistake (I highly doubt it) or it is intentional.

    3. well, thats weird. Butthe E50 nerf was tested on the first test of 8.4, in the secound test they removed the nerf, 'cause the E50 (and the Ausf.M) was quiet unplayable.

      Delete
    4. I think they did that nerf on the test server on purpose, to distract us from this "ninja" nerf.

      Delete
    5. Actually, they put the 0 gun depresion test nerf because the gun was clipping with the haul of the tank

      Delete
    6. It "was" in the test1, but everything back to normal in the test2, and WG said this "graphic fix" will not be implement.

It seems like just another "old news is so exciting" post.

    7. Have you read the topic I linked? This nerf is on the live server, but not the frontal depression nerf, what was on the test server, it's a different one. When you turn your turret backwards 180 degrees the gun's depression is 0 degrees.

    8. just tested it on my E50, it has 0 depression when turret is turned 180 degrees

  7. Huh, this looks pretty cool!

  8. This is just too awesome... this motivates me to go through that pain in the ass VD3002DB!!!

Even if WG screws this one up I will drive it.
Now to wait for a few months and a "Bundeswehr Flecktarn" skin. :P

  10. so we'll get the Bundeswehr Leo in Wehrmacht(ish) camo. O well wargaming gets cheaper by the day...

    1. Its still in the supertest. It can change greatly. For all you know, they added german camos from the 1960s

  11. It... It's beautiful! Like an AMX 50/100 and a Centurion came together to have a baby! This is one tank I absolutely must have!

    ...

As long as it doesn't use HESH as a gold round!

    1. What if the silver round was HESH //trollface

  12. My leopard 1 actually shot APFSDS, HEAT and HESH! Granted, that was the Leopard 1 A5

  13. Uh, I am kinda worried about these rear-view mirrors.
Sure, they look nice, but I am worried that these mirrors WILL reduce the gun depression by a good amount in that area.

Remember that E-50 gun depression fiasco? Well, these mirros look inviting (in either way)

As far as I know, the mirrors could be folded in real life if needed.

Maybe i need to watch this tank from a different angle though, it might be an illusion.

    1. The mirrors could be folded in real life, but the gun never hit them in real life either. So if the 3d model is accurate we should be able to get real life gun depression (if WG wants their Leo to have that)

  14. I'll be a very happy man indeed if they get this one right (mobility, mobility, mobility!)

Considering its advantages are clear-cut and its technical specifications much more definite, Seems pretty hard to fuck up, really. We already have the L7 ingame, and with that gun on a fast hull, there's not much else to go wrong.

    1. So the E50 gun, but slightly faster tank with no armor, is going to be good? How so? T62 has a 3,000 DPM gun with insane turret armor and is pretty fast. Trade all the good for 5 kph over the 50 M? Blah.

      Delete
    2. T-62a has power to weight of 15.68. The E-50m is around 19.26. Leo will probably be around the same or better than the E-50m. So yes, it's fast. As well, the Leo has gun depression of 9 degrees, which is leaps and bounds better than either T-62 or E50.

Due to the 70 degree auto-bounce, Leo's turret will probably be very bouncy from the front as well. And the Leopard 1 isn't as tall as the E-50.

So, a German medium with bouncy turret, very good gun depression, and as fast or faster than the E-50m. Sounds good enough for me.

      Delete
    3. JPE sounded great on paper too. Same power to weight as the 50 M. Bouncy turret, we don't know yet, depends on the mantlet. 9 degrees, what is the 50 M? Thought it was 8? Leaps and bounds better? It is shorter, and if WG gives it the appropriate camo, will be nice. I just don't have faith that they will.

      Delete
    4. E-50m depression is only 6 degrees, T-62A is 5. 9 degrees would make its depression as good as the M48 patton, and a lower profile hull/turret also helps considerably when attempting hull down.

So yeah, I stand by my assertion that the Leo's gun depression/low profile will make it leaps and bounds more usable on hilly terrain/in hull down than the E-50m.

I'm much more apprehensive about them making the new upper tier light line a one-trick pony of ramming ability, than them ruining the Leopard, to be frank.

    5. You obviously havent played the T-62A.

  15. I just wonder why it has the "Panzer Grey" paintjob (not sure if that's even historically accurate, though German WWII tanks are often represented as such...).

After all, the Panther Ersatz was coloured brown as it is disguised as an American tank. Making this thing green would make more sense, no?

  16. The hull is out of proportions and way to narrow compared to the leopard 1 A5NO. It looks like a stretched out of proportions toy-tank.

Were the early hull different from the late model ones?

  17. Well considering what ppl were expecting from the Centurion and what they got. I'm happy to get the Leo1 tank but, the leo1a3 with the welded turret looks soooo much better and is more in line with the leo2 design. This just looks....meh.
