13.3.2013

- Q: "Why isn't German multilayered armor modelled in the game?" A: "Because such an armor was in no model of the mentioned nation until the end of 20th century" (SS: a player claimed that the E-100 had multilayered armor based on some scheme that wasn't sourcelinked)
- SerB regarding the same issue: "This question has been answered already, the tank corresponds to our data"
- Q: "Do the spotting rays... *insert long and ridiculous question about spotting mechanism*" A: "So what do you think, are our programmers complete retards, or will you leave them a chance for a small glimmer of intellect?" (SS: here SerB started raging and trolling - skipped the following stuff)
- regarding the visibility check rays: "Their calculations are requiring and thus they are done only in limited intervals" (SS: for more details chet wotwiki on how visibility works)
- In 1943, Italians still projected welded hulls. They also bought the license for the Panther, but in the end, they didn't make a "smaller version" of it, they projected a completely different tank (SS: the P.40 - P.43)
- the abovementioned tank didn't copy the Panther solutions (Italian industry technical level didn't allow that), rather only copied the concept (in P.40-P.43 series) (SS: the player was asking about a P.43 with a welded hull and 105mm native gun, possibly with torsion bar or Christie suspension)
This is how it would have looked: the P.40, P.43, Panther

- regarding this wooden mock-up: SerB thinks it's some sort of P.40 ancestor, but isn't sure:

- Italian P.43 with new suspension? SerB thinks the variant where they move the P.43 platform to Christie suspension is more likely given the state of Italian industry than some sort of Panther-like suspension
- there is a chance Churchill AVRE will make an appearance
- the new German medium branch will not come with special new camouflage - it's not yet decided when new German camo will come
-  official camo value for vehicles? "No, players would whine 'why does this tank have more than that' etc. It's not on our actual to do list, maybe one day"
- there will be no special maps for hightier vehicles, maps will be done for everyone
- free XP is awarded based on basic XP gain, the x2/x3/x5 first day wins apparently don't count (SS: the answer was unclear, can someone confirm?)
- maximum tank display distance (SS: cca 500m) has not been reduced, it will be increased based on technological possibilities
- plans regarding taking the "popular" nicknames from 0-battle "squatting" old accounts? "No comment"
- it can't be clearly stated whether unlocking the engine or new suspension increases TD maneuverability more, it depends on too many factors
- so far, no data has been uncovered from Bovington about the FV100 assault vehicle, rumored to have been projected
- tier 7 medium T-43 is doing fine without the D-10T gun. SerB states, that the Chinese T-34-1 has the 100mm to perform well, while T-43 would be overpowered with it

    1. Translation's fine I think, it's the answer that is hazy.

    2. The answer is hazy indeed.
Have no other sources but from this replay (x5) you can see that it is 5% of overall XP I received.

    3. Well, basically: the player whines the free XP is 10 percent from X and not from X2, because he got 74freeXP from 740XP - and SerB tells him to stop whining (something like "give a finger, they want the whole arm"). It is unclear whether he made a mistake assuming it's 10 percent and expected 20, or he got 10 because it actually IS calculated from the X2 and SerB is just trolling.

    4. The Free XP is 5% of the XP gained in the match, including all bonuses.

    5. The problem is that in the after-battle "Detailed Report" the free XP shown in the first row has already been multiplied by the daily factor, so that if you go further down you can see the normal XP multiplied but the free XP remains the same. It's a confusing and incorrect way, and they should fix it, but it's obvious free XP is always 5% of all the XP you earn.

  2. Far as I've understood you get 5% of experience gained also as free experience. The first win of the day multiplier does affect it. I usually get 5k+ free experience a day during x5 events just going through my garage once.

What might not affect free experience is the smaller boosts given in events for medals (e.g. 500xp for Steel Wall). Haven't bothered testing that myself.

    1. i certianly can confirm, that you ARE getting the free xp x2/3/5.

Just get into your garage, amek a x2 game check your free xp before and after and calc it.

Serb appearently is not just a bad troll, he also doesnt know shit about his own game.

    2. I think all SerB is saying with that is, that they are giving a certain percantage for free XP and the player wants it to be higher, he doesn't really talk about the multiplyer, is he?

  3. Right now T43 is just a t34/85 with some useless armor added, one tier higher. It NEEDS the iD10T gun or at least something better than a T6 tank.

    1. I'm doing in my T-43 quite well, it fires fast and generally is a fun tank for me.

    2. I think the T-43 is doing fine as is, it has an accurate and quite fast aiming gun, good acceleration and, for a medium its class, excellent armor. Plus, compared to other T7 meds, the top gun outperforms the Germans and British either in penetration or alpha damage and way outperforms the T20 in damage per second, so stop whining because it had an OP gun for its class.

    3. Moron.Play VK3002DB first than come here and tell me that your t-43 is still underpowered. Also play Panther or Comet and tell with what are their guns better than the gun you got on your damn T-43.
I'll not be surprised if you come again and say that kv-1s is underpowered too.

    4. >so stop whining because it had an OP gun for its class.
It's not stopped people from whining about the removal of the L70 from the PzIV and saying that it's now the worst tier V medium when it's possibly the most balanced one.
      >.Also play Panther or Comet and tell with what are their guns better than the gun you got on your damn T-43.
Pass it for the Comet or the VK3002DB but the Panther with the L100 remains useful in almost any match, the T43 is really funny to play only when it's top tier or you have a decent team which supports you while you try to flank heavy tanks.

  5. German multi-layered armour pic mentions E90 -> Instant fail.

Also FWIW the tank display distance mentioned is currently 500m to ~707 metres depending on the orientation of the tanks. It's a box centered on your tank aligned with the map directions with 1000m sides.

  6. Churchill AVRE with either the 290mm (Arty?) or the 165mm HESH (Turreted TD?) would be awesome.

I'm a big Churchill fan, can never have too many in the game.

    1. Unclear. The 290mm version was already scheduled for implementation once as an arty, but it was scrapped because it had low elevation.

  8. x2/x3/x5 first day wins count to free XP.

When I neeeded free XP and there was x5 event I was playing with all tanks in garage (20+) and it gave me insane amount of free XP in 3 days :) And many x5 victories ended with 200-250 free XP.

    1. Yes, it is true. You get your free xp doubled (3x/5x) too, but the after battle calculation is wrong, because you get 10% of your xp when you doubled instead of 5%, but the game did not show this separately.

  9. Sure, Germans were dumb fucks who made their tanks from cardboards up until yesterday but russkies were superior race and still are who made their KV1 back in 1940s from Bouncainum and super magic eatingshellscapable spaced armor...i am disgusted by them and their lame answers...dumbfuck comrades

  10. From a manufacturing perspective, the print that gives the appearance of "multi-layered" armor is simply a way of differentiating the several layers of the same exact armor plate. Nobody was making 170mm thick armor plate, so they just stacked several off-the-shelf sizes together to what they needed. People interpret the different angled hash marks as different materials, when it simply is not.

    1. Schottpanzerung is German for "spaced armor", so this was actually about a multilayer armor. Basically, it's fantasy.

  12. "maximum tank display distance (SS: cca 500m) has not been reduced, it will be increased based on technological possibilities"

This is bullshit, 500m rendering distance is entirely dependent only on client PC's.
