Very well then! From yet another WG insider (even though, as always, I can't guarantee this is true):
- 8.6 will be finished before 23.6 and work on 8.7 will be finished soon after (cca 2 weeks) - actual release date is not yet set
- there will be big changes in Clanwars. To quote the source:
"New areas: US (D'oh), Southern Africa (including but
not limited to: South Africa, Somaliland, Madagascar),
Mongolia, and, *drumroll*: Atlantis. There will be a few big events each with a ton of medals. And WG is
working on a very big CW campaign with 4 stages, each stage has its
own objectives and respective medals.
Total amount of new medals: 58."

DeleteNot at all just a clan wars update. The arty rebalance seems to be very complicated so it takes lot of time to work but the 8.7 might consist of something much simpler to implement and maybe it requires little testing so that's why it can come to us after two weeks from 8.6

Just a guess: German TD's. Lots of hints on that. Another alternative could be Havok and 3rd possibility is CW-only patch.

ReplyDeleteRussian server had an Atlantis event a while back. Atlantis itself when it popped up on the map was controlled by a WG clan people had to fight.

I'd play that map. But remember, gravity may be 1/6th, but mass isn't.
DeleteI don´t see where is a big nerf to the HEAT shells in lowtier. Now you have 100 instead of 150mm penetration. OK. No more damaging higher tiers frontally. But 100mm are still enough to lame in T5 battles. The problem here is not the penetration. It neve was. It is the enrormous dmg you deal with one shot.

Have in mind that HEAT dont lose penetration over distance and the most enemys T5 dont have big slopes. :P
DeleteWith my experiences in the LL Matilda i can say, that 86mm pen is able to dmg most of the enemys reliable.

ReplyDeleteOther game modes, AND a release version of CW (like, isn't i supposed to be an open cross server competition?), that I could agree with being proper end game. In as much as a shooter has an "end game" (what, not supposed to be running my T1 Cunningham still after 5k+ battles?).
If Atlantis doesn't feature Graeco-Roman columns, crystal spires and togas - on scarecrows if need be - I'll be sad. :c
