Hello everyone,
now, I know I promised I won't be posting leaks - and I keep my promise. These pictures are not mine, they were posted by a third party already here and here (I usually follow Kankou's content, that's how I ran into it, credit goes to her :) ). WoT news also posted it. Enjoy!
Also, before you start raging about leaks again: Overlord told me they don't give a shit about them at Minsk HQ, the whole AMAGADLEAKS was Wargaming EU being holier than thou.
T-70
T-60
M60 Patton
Object 907
VK7201 Failowe
VK2001
I just wondering my self where they gona put the M60
ReplyDeleteAlternative US medium branch T10
DeleteBut we had already leaks from the T54E2 and T95E2. And to be honest a T95E2 makes a much better US medium T10 than this slow "medium"
DeleteI don't think you realize how many mediums the Americans have to work with.
DeleteThe search light should have a canvas cover on it.
DeleteI really want this! I commanded a platoon of them in the early 80's. The A1 version that is.
cptcav
That Infra Red sight (?) on the M-60 is the ugliest thing I've ever seen on a tank. Definetly won't go for that tank, as looks are pretty important to me.
ReplyDeleteAre you kidding? It's an incredibly iconic feaure of the M60. Looks awesome, and differentiates it from the M48.
DeleteI think it will be a nice little weakspot.
DeleteNo, I'm not kidding.
DeleteI guess it's a matter of taste. I love the looks of the M48, but that box just ruins it for me.
"little" as in you can hit it easily from 300 metres.
DeleteDon't think this gonna be a hitbox. But it's really ugly... :/
DeleteI think the model could use some work especially the lens.
Delete"Overlord told me they don't give a shit about them at Minsk HQ, the whole AMAGADLEAKS was Wargaming EU being holier than thou."
ReplyDeleteI hope this means you will bring back to leaks! :D
Not my leaks. But if some appear on Russian sites, I will repost them.
DeleteLOL Failowe it's like Fail-lowe XD
ReplyDeleteThat's the joke...
DeleteThanks a lot SS.
ReplyDeleteSo where will WG put vk 2001? Is it light tank or medium?
Y.
Medium I think, think of it as a different looking Panzer III
DeleteI still cannot believe Failowe is fo real
ReplyDeletenah, don't know... The front looks good to bounce shots
Deleteand if he has now a good armor too... (HAHAHAHA... Yes i know.... Good Joke... Right?? :-))
I just say, for now, lets wait and see.
Its sides will no doubt be weak as hell though. I can tell.
DeleteMaybe it is one of this tanks that you are so surpised to see being actually used by someone (like ob 263) that you hesitate to shoot :DDD
DeleteWhats the Obj 907 and where will it be in the tech tree? And where is the "thumbs up" - button? :D
ReplyDeleteT10 russian medium - alternate medium branch starts (possibly) from T-34 included T8 (my long time guess) object 416 and other interesting stuff =)
DeleteThx, looking forward to it :)
DeleteVK2001 looks like mini panzer III
ReplyDeleteVK2001 was part of a project to replace the Panzer IV, actually a little bigger.
DeleteM60 Patton = better armored m48 patton?
ReplyDeleteObj. 907 = Russian 121?
and what is the vk7201 ı hope its not tier 10. Its look like very bad.
VK7201 IS tier 10
DeleteObj907 is a medium, a very well armoured medium in theory.
DeleteHistorically the M60 didn't have much more armor than the M48.
DeleteHistorically it was faster than the M48, which is historically faster than it is in game. But that's Russians for you.
DeleteIt's a real shame they opted to go for the original M60 turret instead of the more iconic A1 turret.
DeleteWould've differentiated it from the M48.
What is VK2001? Tier 4 or 5? Heavy or Medium? I think it is a Tier 5 Medium:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.panzerschreck.de/03pzkpfw3/17vk2001.html
tier 4, I think medium, complete branch:
Delete- VK 2001 DB (IV level)
- DW (V level)
- VK 3002 DB v1 (VI level)
- VK 3002 DB (VII level)
- Indien Panzer (VIII level)
- Prototype Arbeltsgruppe A (IX level)
- Leopard 1 (X level)
VK2001 is light -_-
Deletemhe its look like a heavyer panzer III...
DeleteAnd DW?
DeleteDurbruchwagen, historically it was meant to be a heavy breaktrough tank but I guess it could pose as a medium as it was very similar to the VK30.01(H).
DeleteI said it before, I'll say it again that a branch set up like this doesn't make sense. Durchbruchwagen feels like the odd one here. I reckon it would fit better just before VK3601 with possibility of researching also VK3001(H), as achtungpanzer.com article claims both VKs (30 & 36) were further developments of DW project. In it's place in this line, personally I'd see Panzer III/IV (maybe with connection to VK3001(H) again), as it would nicely fit a line of high mobility mediums. Finally, the Panzer IV would end up in line finishing with E-50 (again it makes sense - line of mainstay, solid, pure breed medium tanks).
DeleteIf I post a link in WoT.EU forums from WoT.US forums with these images, I will be banned?
ReplyDeleteWoT US - most likely no. WoT EU - yes.
DeleteDid Overlord say anything about fixing this holier than thou attitude of their European branch?
DeleteSo the Obj 907 has 122mm gun with shitty gun depression like his Chinese Colleague?
ReplyDeleteYes, i bet it has only 3 degrees. And according to the pictures in US-forum it has both sides full of ammo:
Deletehttp://forum.worldoftanks.com/index.php?/topic/217790-interesting-screenshots/page__pid__4017331#entry4017331
It actually had 3 guns: D-10T, D-54 and M-62.
DeleteFailowe is the culmination of a third heavy line, the substitute of a current T10, or just an alternative option from one of the two current T9?
ReplyDeleteNoone can answer that. Only the devs know.
DeleteThe VK7201 is ugly as hell @@ Wish it would never be accepted to live server.
ReplyDeleteI can't stand it, but I love the looks of the failowe. To me, it looks like a VK45B Mk.II. And I loved both VK45. So bring it on!
ReplyDeleteThe tank on the first picture is a T-70.
ReplyDeleteJust noticed. Thanks.
DeleteStill don't get that Belarus logic with Lowe series... Tier 8 premium is nerfhammered "heavy" Lowe, while at Tier 10 will be "light" design with (presumably) much improved armor and mobility while packing gold friendly Germna 15cm lolgun.
ReplyDeleteNo Leopard 1 news?
What Leopard 1 news do you expect, mate? You have official screenshots and you can't get its parameters until the public test starts...
DeleteTBH, any kind of news. Some more pic, some random footage, stats sneak peek. For some reason I'm much more interested in Leo than theorycrafting UK TankDerpstroyers of Chinese copy/pastas.
DeleteWell, the test will start in a few days anyway.
DeleteReally?!
DeleteActually, the 15cm that was intended to be mounted on the VK7201 was actually slightly longer than the current one in game. I want to say L/41, but I would need to find the document first.
DeleteGerman Light Tank branch will lead to which tank in new medium branch?
ReplyDeleteWill it go there from start, or they will screw players who chose to ignote VK-DB and went to collect exp on "new" light T6?
Apparently the RU251 (T8) will lead to the T9 Leopard prototype, but the thing is, RU251 will not be introduced in 8.5, in 8.5 the German light branch will end with the recon Panther
DeleteSo,instead of adding a good german tier 10 heavy, they add another fail, but with rear-mounted turret and probably worse armor and gun than e-100.Nothing unexpected from WG.
ReplyDeletethe gun look visualy like the same of an e100..
DeleteJesus, M60 is so ugly with this "eye"... It just looks like M48 with this additional crap... Not impressed at all :/
ReplyDeleteMany M48 models have the that searchlight as well...
DeleteAt least now when idiots bring up "historical accuracy" to explain crappy German tanks, we can show them just how screwed up WG is with the Failowe. The lighter version, which was to be armed with the smaller gun, is two tiers higher, armed with a bigger derp gun.
ReplyDeleteThat tank not only looks stupid, but will be massively fail. Then the Russians get the damn alien tank. Imagine that.
It sounds good, communist aliens ftw.
DeleteWell, about history. If the VK70 Pz VII wasn't discontinued the Lowe was ment to test 12.8 and 15 cm guns. But that never happened. The only armament was from the Tiger 2 till the end.
DeleteMaybe that led WG to add the E-100 troll gun on it instead of the regular 8.8 or 10.5 guns on the lighter version.
I wonder what armour will WG 'add' to balance it.
300 UFP and 200 FLP Plus 4500 HP ^^
DeleteJK, that is WAY to owerpowered for a german tank :P
2nd med branch maybe start in Pz II G?
ReplyDeleteThat M60 looks so sexy!!! AWESOME I have waited so long for this!!!
ReplyDelete"Let's add annother crap tier 10 german heavy!"
ReplyDelete-Wargaming 2013
Are they even considering this...thing?
Since they didn't scrapped the Recon Panther why they should not consider this faiLowe too?
Delete"OMG screenshots and I know nothing about the tanks values
ReplyDelete-> crying kid rage modus engaged"
So we now have the Leopard 1, M60 Patton, both which are Main Battle Tanks. So where's the Chieftain?
ReplyDeleteThe cheiftain will probably no make it in, at least not in its production form. The L11A5 that was mounted on the production model could penetrate 340mm of armour at 2km with standard steel rounds. However, the prodotype to the chieftain only mounted the 120mm L1A1 and would actually fit into the game fairly comfortably.
DeleteWouldn't mind the prototype version, just want the most iconic post war tank.
DeleteYou're in luck then. Some time ago wargamming requested information on the prototype from Bovington. However, there was is no indication yet if they will add it.
DeleteI hardly consider the Leopard 1 to be a true MBT. The armor is just too thin.
DeleteI also read on the site that the M60 is being shelved and might not ever be released (due to balancing issues).
The Lowe is actually:
ReplyDeleteLeichter Löwe – crew of five, 1000-hp engine, weight of 76 tons, 100mm frontal armor, rear-mounted turret, 105 mm L/70 high velocity gun and a coaxial machine gun, top speed 27 km/h.
Fuck Leopard 1!! gimme Object 907 naw!!!! :droll:
ReplyDeleteThat lowetracktor is the ugliest piece of shiat tank I've ever seen.
ReplyDeleteAnd we're back! Now I can enjoy my favorite WOT site again! GJ SS!
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteout of the users point of view the VK7201 (Lowe) has a HUGE drawback which will make it unable to even compete with a maus or E100.
DeleteNormally, german Tanks and in some occasions american tanks are able to perform "sidescraping" tactics to be able to close a road or attackingside with pure steel.
The "Failowe" wont be able to perform this, as (some of you might noticed)
it got a Rounding (following the Turretline) in the rear which breaks the sidearmors ability to bounce shells. This "rounding" will be THE weakspot if you try to perform sidescraping, as it decreases the impactangle.
Why does it have a rear mounted turret then?
This tank is already obsolete (in my opinion and out of my WOT experience) before its introduction..
As though you cant defend a line, you should be able to be useful in offense... well but it definitely wont have enough armor to stop Premshells (possibility of taking over MAUS's offense role properly in battle), esp lower frontal plate, typical Lowe Turretweakspots.
I cant imagine it will perform on par with other T10 heavies due to the mentioned drawbacks
Working as intended?
For WOT probably, for "underdeveloped" german tanks definitely....
And look at that awesome depression! Flat front glac as well. For that tank to work, it would have to have its armor values buffed 200% of historical proposal, and its speed greatly increased. Every single piece of fail in game tank model is present on that ugly piece of crap. Pay to penetrate derp gun. Rear turret. No depression. Big flat lower glac. Flat side armor. Slow. Visible.
Deleteit's how the design was you dipshit. what do you want? devs to create their own version of Lowe??
Delete>devs to create their own version of Lowe??
DeleteNope but place it in its appropriate tier per specs and historical period, tier 8 or perhaps 9, actually I wonder whether it's really a tier 10 or not.
Dipshit,
DeleteThe current Lowe was to have 140 mm of armor, and a 15 cm gun. The light Lowe was to be faster, lightly armored, and a smaller gun. Morons at WG are putting it at T10. The devs could pull their head out of their ass and place tanks where they should be, and give them what they were supposed to have.
Man i love this Leaks thing allready :) Keep the good work mate!
ReplyDeleteWhat is the diffrence between the M48 and M60??
ReplyDeleteThey look the same...
the searchlight...
DeleteI was so disappointed when I saw the M48 turret, with a tumor on that M60. I guess, there is only a slight difference between them, and not worth to research both.
Different hull shape? Turret shape? You do not see this difference?
DeleteEy yo people!
ReplyDeleteEy what u say niggur?
ReplyDeleteYu callin me niggur?
DeleteFailowe name will stick like a gum to underside of table :D Also that Object Medium is way too OP with that armor.
ReplyDeleteM60 has a eyesight problem or its just flashlight for night battles? :D
I believe it's an infrared searchlight.
Deletethe second med Russian line is coming from Kv-13? up to Obj 907?
ReplyDeleteUnclear. Possibly from T-34 somehow, but it's not sure.
DeleteWHY FAILOWE?!
ReplyDeleteThe VK7201 Löwe is actually the Leichter Löwe: a lighter and lesser armoured version of the current "Schwerer Löwe" we currently have ingame.
ReplyDeleteEven though it's lighter and lesser armoured, it wasn't really faster and more manouvreable than the Schwerer Löwe.
Being a tier 10 tank with about the same mobility and gun as the E-100, yet as armoured as a tier 7-8 tank, I can't see it be more than the most useless heavy of tier 10.
Unless WarGaming decides to take an unrealistic approach to this tank, giving it either high mobility, giving it a better gun than the 128mm L55 or the 150mm L38, OR making it a tier 8, this tank will simply end up as an underpowered massive failure.
I'm also kind of dissapointed that the M60 doesn't have it's production turret, but this could be due to it being out of WoT's era.
It could happend that they decide to give us the A1 turret, let's hope...
Maximum tier 9 for any Lowe - uparmored or upgunned. It wont stand a chance in tier 10.
Deletelol and the t30 was any better when it was a tier 10 heavy? It had no armor, it wasnt really fast, too!
DeleteWith a good accuracy on the move, the mobility of the M103 or T110E5 and a gundepression of 10°, you would have a nice german support tank!
Is it only me or das the VK7201 look like a loltracer on steroids!
BUT... T30, when it was tier X it was only vehicle with 155mm gun and turret... It had one of the strongest punches with decent mobility.
DeleteIt was best turret + hulldown + strike of god.
DeleteDont think germans have that. Well at least strike of god is possible.
The turret isnt really good if the enemy knows where to aim he can damage u without a problem and the turret of the Löwe is really good, too. Because the 120 mm armor of the turret, is the armor without the gunshild, with it its more like 300mm and that is as good or even better!
DeleteIt's not an IR light but just a powerful spot light.
ReplyDeleteM60 has 65 degrees of slope when M48 only has 60 degrees. The lower front armour of M60 is better to
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely interested in the M60. Definitely will be trying it out extensively, same with the Leopard 1 btw, once it reaches the test server.
DeleteIt's interesting I'm just curious to see how it fits into the tech tree. It really wouldn't make sense to me to have it and the M48 in separate lines as t10 seeing as the M60 was the M48's successor.
DeleteThe frontal lower glacis is pretty "German"-looking on the object 907.
ReplyDeleteCould it be the main weakspot for this tank like it's on the German T8-T10 heavy tanks and T7-T10 medium tanks?
The armor layout is very interesting. To me the front plate looks a lot like the T110E5, while the sides retain IS series characteristics (Sloped and most likely protected by spaced armor).
DeleteHere is an interesting article, its in russian, but you can see what I mean from the pictures.
http://alternathistory.org.ua/opytnyi-srednii-tank-obekt-907-sssr
As for the M60 it seems more likely that the top machinegun/commanders hatch on the turret will be the tanks main weakpoint.
ReplyDeleteAlso the turret is less rounded. I actually think it's quite pretty looking.
its not less rounded, it is the EXACT same turret and gun mantlet model as the M48, only the MG turret is changed (hurray for reusing models, give us more copy paste WG to save up on work)
Deletethe fact they are using the slightly modified M48 turret from early M60 variant to save themselves work (historical reasons my ass, there is no reason, historical or balance to not use the improved M60A1 turret) is just sickening, their entire plan to keep people playing is making as many new tanks as possible as fast and with as little work as possible to keep people grinding and converting xp (while completely disregarding proper balance of the new tanks)
Ok. I thought the back and top part of the turret were less rounded, but I'm probably wrong :). No biggie.
DeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing these images! Keep up the good work! You are the best and this is the most usefull WoT fansite. :)
ReplyDeleteHow is the M60 supposed to be on the same tier as the M48, it's like putting both the Tiger II and E-75 on tier IX...
ReplyDelete-Platypusbill
>They use the same gun (except that the M68 was the stock gun of the M60, not an upgrade from a 90mm), but the M60 is a direct successor...
Delete-Plastypusbill
Hmmm, you don't think they might swap the current Lowe for the Failowe and make it a premium? I know the chances of that are less than zero but it would sort of make sense for the heavier design to be a regular Tier IX or VIII and vice versa...
ReplyDeleteThat won't happen. Can you imagine the butthurt?
DeleteOh yes, I can already see the volcanic rage. However I don't think you can deny that it would make more sense for the Failowe to be a tier VIII premium.
DeleteThey sure just replace m48 with m60
ReplyDeleteThe gun on the faillowe looks to short. Way to short...
ReplyDeleteI shall name the object 907 the duckbill.
ReplyDeleteIs it me or does the 907s hull look quite tall? Perhaps just me.
Ill be getting the failowe only because iv researched almost every German tank to date and will continue to do so every update to the German tree, it does look ugly and well underwhelming.
I really like the look of the vk2001, i wonder if itll have the same armaments as the pz3 altho looks very tall which maybe its downfall somewhat.
Yes, it has identical weapons.
Deletethis is how i think they could make the m60 fit nicely into the current medium US branch. move the current tier 8 pershing to a new tier 8 premium(now the US would have a true premium medium and not some under gunned heavy tank.) then move the m46 patton to tier 8 rebalence it for that role, m0ve the m48 to tier 9 remove the m68 gun from its tech tree, and then put the m60 in as the tier 10. One other thing... since the m60 will undoutably come stock with the m68 gun... they should make the m60a1 turret an upgrade in its tech tree! Boom 4 problems solved... we get an actual tier 8 premium medium tank, The deve's just got there patton "family" tree, no more confusion as to why the m48 and m60 are on the same level when the m60 was better in every imaginable way! and lastly they will have made a tech tree for the m60 that makes sense! everybodys a winner!
ReplyDeleteThanks for share this post I also share with you something hope you like my post. You’ve bought your dream car and now you want to make it last at long as possible in top condition. Here are some things to remember as you pull it out of the dealer’s lot: During the break-in period, typically the first 1,000 miles (1,600 km), keep your speed under 55 mph (88 kpm) or to the speed recommended by your car’s manufacturer. Avoid heavy loads on the drive train, such as towing trailers, and loading the roof rack or trunk with heavy construction materials. Thanks
