- the 25 percent spread of damage and penetration is not tied to each other (eg. if a max penetration with 25 percent bonus is applied, it does not mean you will deal maximum damage too)
- T-34-1 would underperform without the 100mm gun
- multicore support "is there for a long time already" (Storm: When the client physics is introduced, the second core will be loaded more)
- new servers will be introduced in the future
- the concept of converting free XP to crew XP (for gold) has been refused
- separation of company and random stats confirmed
- it's not clear whether KV-2 will appear in historical battles, so far the general concept is ready, not the roles of individual tanks
- it won't be possible to buy two premium tanks of the same type in the future
- British pink desert camo? "I don't like it, but I can't do anything about it, it existed"
- it's not banned to actually stream your fight (even though the enemy can theoretically go and see on the stream where you and your allies are): the reason is that to do so is just too slow and ineffective
- models of tanks will be reworked (parts of the hull will be flying off when hit), but not very soon
- camo mechanism will be changed at the earliest in 0.9.0 ("will tell later what I will do")
- Havok client physics - players will be able to disable it
- Ensk wagons will be made more visible separatedly
- viewrange 445m limit will not be removed
- IS7 ROF will not be increased apparently
- SerB states that players with too many complains are investigated, not banned automatically
And a few misc informations:
- Russian server had today a patch where the 83mm shell price was reduced from 260 to 170 credits.*trollface*
- German 0.8.5 patch: several new maps apparently, the official Leopard photos are out too. Looks nice!
- the In Development section showed an official screenie of the T-60 tank. It's reasonable to assume that the T-70 and T-80 (they were tested together) will come with it in 0.8.5
New KTTC video (well, ASAP)
Can be found here: http://worldoftanks.eu/news/6423-asap-video-producer-mikhail-zhivets-reporting/
Inside:
- why was Prokhorovka changed (balance, issues with the maps, the Prokhorovka was smoothed)
- 8.5 new Asian river map (SS: well, actually there might be 3 new maps in 8.5 *wink*)
- British TD - heavy armor, unusual vehicles
- high tier premium arty - not for all nations apparently
- Sexton will become British
- Soviet T7 medium premium tank (Prototype T-44 with 85mm gun)
- gold shell for credits will stay
- horns were scrapped
- Sturmtiger: postponed till 2014
- Storm is happy with the tutorial, will be developed further
"- it won't be possible to buy two premium tanks of the same type in the future"
ReplyDeleteI don't understand.
E.g. One won't be able to have both JT88 and su122-44 at the same time? Doesn't that reduce WG's income?
No. The idiot asking actually wanted to have two (for example) JT88's, so he can play the other one when the first one is in battle.
Deletein short: "could I afk grind a bit more, plz?"
Delete"- viewrange 445m limit will not be removed"
ReplyDeleteThis directly contradicts the wiki, which states that view range is unlimited. http://wiki.worldoftanks.eu/Battle_Mechanics#View_Range
I'm confused. Does anyone know which is correct?
Edit to above: Presumably he means spotting range.
Deleteyes he means spotting range I think, the unlimited viewrange is what is used to calculate the range at which you spot an enemy, even if your spotting range can only be 445m, a view range higher than that will let you spot enemies within 445m easier, functioning like a camo nerf to the enemies within 445m
DeleteI am very confused now as I thought the limit was 500m as it says in the descriptions of bincos optics? If view range cannot exceed 445m then I have been doing it wrong for awhile....
DeleteView Range
DeleteView Range is the theoretical maximum distance that your vehicle's Commander (not you!) can see, and depends on the vehicle's turret
Unlike what the in game description of the view range enhancing equipment indicates, there is no 500m limitation. View range is unlimited. The better your view range, the better your spotting range, at any range.
Maximum Spotting Range
You can never spot a vehicle further away than 445m, the game engine performs no spotting checks past this boundary.
Note that unlike draw distance limits, spotting range limits are the same in all directions (think of a virtual bubble instead of a cube).

ReplyDeleteI saw SturmTiger's splash - detracked pretty far of initial explosion.
ReplyDelete- it won't be possible to buy two premium tanks of the same type in the future
Uhm? So if I like heavy tanks I wont get to buy two heavies? If so - dafuq are they smoking?
- models of tanks will be reworked (parts of the hull will be flying off when hit), but not very soon.
Finally some realistic damage models.
- Havok client physics - players will be able to disable it.
- multicore support "is there for a long time already" (Storm: When the client physics is introduced, the second core will be loaded more)
I have 4 of them ready to rock :D
"- it won't be possible to buy two premium tanks of the same type in the future
DeleteUhm? So if I like heavy tanks I wont get to buy two heavies? If so - dafuq are they smoking?"
no, you will just not be able to buy for example two T34's or 2 FCM50t's
Is it known what tiers the T60, T70 & T80 will be? Will one or more of them be inserted beneath the T-50-2 line? Presumably the T-50-2 will be raised up to tier 6 and replaced by the MT25 at the same time?
ReplyDeleteMy guess: T2, 3 ,4
DeleteT-50-2 been here for a long time. And it gets replaced....I wonder to what magical place it will go?
DeleteThe same place the T23 went.
DeleteAsgard
Delete- new servers will be introduced in the future
ReplyDeletewho is receiving those new servers?
"Everyone who needs them" (read: Russians)
DeleteSo new tanks in 8.5 will be:
ReplyDeleteBritish 1 SPG
German 1 LT & 5(?) MT
USSR 5 LT (including 'new' T50 at tier 5.
No, the leopard will be a Tier 10 mid. the fact its a cold war era tank, it belongs in high tiers.
DeleteThe other light tanks will probably be under tier 5.
Unless the British artillery tree arrives in 8.5 or they just want to release it, the Brit arty prob won't come in 8.5
I think he means the premium Sexton I.
DeleteTo flesh out what I wrote above:
Delete1 Sexton tier 4 Brit SPG
1 Aufklärungspanzer tier 7 Germ LT
5 Germ MT ending in Leopard 1 and incorporating current DB3002
3 new USSR LT Tier 2 to 4 (T60, T70, T80)
1 'new'USSR LT tier 5 (T50)
1 new USSR LT tier 6 (MT25 replacing T-50-2)
MT25 won't come in 8.5 as far as I know. I think the T60/70/80 line will be parallel to what he have now.
DeleteSo T50 and T-50-2 (& it's replacement) will stay at tier 4 & 5? Or be shifted up to 5 & 6 in a later patch?
DeleteSo far we have no official confirmation, but I am fairly certain they will stay.
DeleteWhen the MT25 comes though, presumably it will be a 'normal' tier 6, like the VK2801, rather than an 'end-tier' with bad credit making potential? And do I remember correctly that there will be no tier 7 or 8 USSR LTs?
DeleteHeh... So there's Your "historically correct" made by WGN. Even though they admitted that real T-50 (and even more so T-50 with improved armour known in game as -2) were not so hot in terms of mobility. Two things make me wonder: 1) Whether they will use MT-25 as a replacement for T-50-2 or just use it as next tier light? 2) Is whole light branch going to be separated, as Silent suspects, like that T2: T-60, T3: T-70, T4: T-80? If that would be the case, naturally T-50 would have to be raised to T5. Anyhow, can someone more fluent in Soviet tank history could say, are there any suitable candidates for Russian high tier lights?
DeleteNo
Delete>- T-34-1 would underperform without the 100mm gun
ReplyDeleteCan I start screaming "Chinese bias"?
When comparing it to other tier 7 medium tanks of other nations, then by all means.
DeleteThat map looks lovely! :)
ReplyDeleteHajvanho
The last lot of new maps also looked good, but some of them were pretty bad game-play wise (serene coast etc). Finger-crossed that they get the new ones right, although I don't have high hopes.
DeleteAnyone else spot the leopard 1 in the ASAP video (at the 2 minute mark) getting shmooshed by the brit TD's?
ReplyDeletewith 70mm max armor what do you expect? ah what the fuck it will fail just like FV4202...good gun, good mobility, huge, crap armor. Except Leo 1 has no armor at all.
DeleteFor Leopard 1 to shine, it would need similar stats as T62-A, if not better.
- Russian server had today a patch where the 83mm shell price was reduced from 260 to 170 credits.*trollface*
ReplyDeleteso sad
mh, I wnated to wait till the next pathes :/
Deleteseems like no profit for me after all
only for hte Ivans my friend, only for the Ivans....thats how Wg works
Deleteso looks like the players who made a profit on the russian server won't get affected by this..?
DeleteMeaning russian players got "rich" (in credits) without consequence, while EU & NA were denied the oppertunity. Nice.
"Boo hoo hoo they exploited a game flaw and I couldn't..." grow up kids.
Delete"- Soviet T7 medium premium tank (Prototype T-44 with 85mm gun)"
ReplyDeleteHell yeah!!!
Looking forward to the premium T-44. Probably going to use the ZiS-S-53 gun which will make it underpowered (just like the Panther-M10), but looks sexier than that hideous Matilda IV.
ReplyDeleteNew China themed map confirmed.
ReplyDeleteHow about the themes of the other new ones? All Asia? Himalayadorf?
It will be called "Pearl River"
DeleteThank you for sharing siusiak.
ReplyDeleteDo my eyes deceive me or does the Leopard have the bundeswehr cross?
ReplyDeleteYou would be correct. I was pleasantly surprised that they added that touch. Shame we won't get special post-war camo though...
DeleteMy pleasure. Oh, BTW, they have the only working StuG IV in the world as well (SS even liked a photo of it in the article about German TD), and you can see it from the inside as well.
ReplyDeleteAnd IS-2, IS-3... and ISU-152, SU-85B, lots of fap material ;)
