SS: Oh well, looks like there IS an official translation from one of the developers

The most important - we decided to restore most of the camouflage system to the 8.5 version, with the following exceptions:
    - the changes (buffs) of camouflage patterns and net will be implemented
    - the camouflage parameters for some vehicles will change (here, Storm said this change is kinda natural, the camo factors were normally recalculated)
    - the camouflage bonus for bushes will be reduced by 20% (and not three times, as it was in Public Test #1)
SS: Here Storm adds that it's possible this all won't be ready for test 2, he can't say yet

- A bug with non-load and non-display of vehicles in the open was tracked down and fixed. It had a common cause for everyone, and you finally will be able to test normally on PT #2 (SS: actually, here Storm said the reason for this bug was actually the same reason why there were slow response times in hangar under some circumstances)
 - System of dynamic textures changes will be tested during PT #2 only. It was disabled on PT #1, that's why you have noticed no effect. (SS: the FPS-dependent texture quality and effect reduction)
- Dynamic camera had some incorrect coefficients, so we will reduce the shaking after the shot by a factor of 4 with the next iteration of PT.

- Audio will receive significant changes in PT #2
- SPGs won't be nerfed any further in 8.6. The increased accuracy won't be removed.
- Decision on SuperPershing model changes will be completed and shared later this week.

SS: The translation of that developer (I really can't remember his name) is not really literal - the Superpershing info is for example not in the Russian original. Funnily enough, there are actually some significant differences between Storm's text and the translation. Interesting.

  3. Dynamic texture change system:D Its not a year 2000 when texture quality could influence fps:D... well at least the effect reduction makes sense(smoke, explosions)...

    Good thing they are working on audio though. This patch can be a nice change in the longrun...

  7. I think the increased arty accuracy refers to the dispersal pattern. Arty accuracy overall has been reduced IIRC.

    1. Tanks disappearing in the open field, artillery spotted on respawn etc. A lot of small glithces and bugs, which need to be fixed.

      You spotted them but they weren't visible. They even could sometimes shoot you standing 10m away from you. The spotting system of PT1 was crippled.

    3. And how in the hell did that make it past Alpha testing then?

      Does WG even do Alpha tests on these things?

      I know beta tests are done to spot issues, but this one seems like a major one at that.

    4. You're mixed up bugs and the camo system.
      Some vehicles were invisible due to a bug with models loading delay.

      On the other hand all bushes was virtually transparent. You can spot anyone at any distance.
      And the second part is exactly that Storm is talking about.

    IMO 10% would be fine....20% is still too much...bushes and foliage is and should be important part of tactics and spotting!!

  10. Now all they need to do is take back that stupid matchmaking changes that places arty as Hightiers (Gw TigerP with 2000 alpha damage vs T6 tanks very balanced yo) and 0.86 could become a decnt patch after all.

  12. They fixed arty in general up to a point but they compensated for the nerfs by making arty have standard MM - now tier 9 arty can meet tier 7 tanks and tier 8 premiums. I have an idea to fix this: set the tier 2-5 arty MM spread to +2 and tier 6-8 arty to +3 tiers (so arty meets only equal or higher tier tanks), tier 9 arty to meet tier 8, 9 and 10 non-prem tanks and tier 10 arty to meet tier 9 and 10 tanks. I believe that this way arty should be optimally balanced. You don't want to get 1-shotted by an S-51 in your M4 Sherman, do you? ;)

    1. The S-51 can now oneshot *any* tank it meets with penetrating hits, it's quite reliable against eveything except tier IXs with high HP. Tier VI tanks except the heavies are almost guaranteed to die to non-penetrating hits/near misses, tier Vs die even to splash quite easily (lol at 900+ spalling damage against ~350 HP TDs).

      Yeah, the new MM for arty is ridiculous.

  16. I play both arty and tanks. A lot more tanks though and I am a lot better with them.

    But all the arty hate really gets on my nerves, so all the revelations about 8.6 make me smile big time. I will now play a few matches with one of my arties and anounce one-shotting little tier6 heavies in the future.

    So much fun.

  17. SP has so fuckin nice spaced armor.. 5 shots.. 5 penerations.. AT 7 and e75 did this.. e75 1 shots.. at 7 4 shots.. 2 shots was okay..

    So where the fuck is weak spot? mantlet or middle of hull??? and u still wanna nerf this shit...

  18. Please go back to basics and fix some fundamental issues of the game first.

    That is all nice and fine but ... despite the many updates of the game user accounts are still tied to regional servers and not transferable, unlike in many other state-of-the-art MMOs. So what happens if a player moves from Asia to Europe or chose the wrong server from the start: Ignorant answer from WG: Make a new account. They are ignoring the many users who have issues with high pings and time zones denying clan wars for them.
