The A33 was on the previously published MM chart, so nothing's changed then.
Really not sure the idea that SPGs should line up with their equivalent tanks MM is a good idea. If they must line up, instead of a three Battle Tier spread, they should make SPGs line up in the top two tiers of tanks in their tiers.
You'll also get the chance to shoot Tier 6 tanks with the Tier 8 arties which all have the same gun as the Tier 10 ones.... that means if you use the new Tier 8 German SPG you can nail them for 2000 damage.
Premium tanks with preferential matchmaking will now face Arties they normally wouldn't. Jag 8.8, Type 59, etc will now see 'Tier 9' arties (which were previously Tier 7) such as Object 212 which they previously didn't face.
I'm more worried about mid tier vehicles though - tiers 5 through 7 and 8s with pref mm will now see arty that is capable of one shotting them with half their alpha
think about this: 203mm howitzer on SU-14-1 is probably going to keep the 1850 damage it has right now. the main difference being that now this SPG can go against tier 5 TDs - which average 350 health.
Guess what happens when your tank gets hit by a shell that could almost one shot you 6 times?
If it is left with a normal L/70 cannon without artificially super-buffed penetration, then yes it is pretty much guaranteed that it will get preferential MM.
It would be plain and simple better than the JgPz IV though. The latter's front armour is useful against ~80-110 pene which the E-25 couldn't deal with, but it has vastly inferior mobility and more restricted gun movement on both axes.
And E-25 is more or less as small (or even smaller) as the Hetzer, most likely moves not much slower than the T-50-2 and has a quite good gun for tier VI. But the 7,5 cm L/70 won't have a chance against majority of the Tier IX vehicles...
So tier 8 tanks will start meeting tier 10 arties which are current tier 8 arties. Yeah i will enjoy getting one shoted with my tier 8 tanks. WG either balance arty decently or give them bit different MM. And not to mention how S-51 will one shot tier 5 tanks even with simple splash damage. This whole patch is becoming sick joke.

This patch was supposed to nerf arty, but instead they buffed the hell out of it. More accurate as quickybaby even showed. XP/Cred buff. And now superior MM where they can one-shot anything they choose. Their devs just troll the community and hate their fans. Fuck WG. We'll see how cocky they are when ground forces come out in War Thunder.
So much agree with this, test server is meant only to find bugs and some serious imbalance. That's all about the test. The less obvious things become noticeable after 1-2 months after patch release. Jut wait people and see for yourself what will happen. After all you can always quit.
Super Pershing, KV5 and Type59 have never seen big arty so far. They get now the tier 9 beasts. The Type59 at least fast but the other 2 can join to the increasing group of arty haters. KV5 is a big moving arty food. SP is also very slow and easy target.

It is dream. Arty will make more credit and XP and also benefit much from the detracking assist. On top of it, the new arties will come and arty has very good MM in 8.6. I assume that there will be more and not less arty per game. Many people will use arty for farming. I hate arty but if WG does not change MM then I'll also develop few big ones and pile shoot the lower tier tanks which is a good stress relief technique and also very profitable.
I've oneshotted kv-1s and su-152 before. Nothing change significantly in this regard. But new patch both make arty more evenly spread across tiers and make playing it more frustrating and requiring patience, while long reload times reduce ability to influence the battle outcome. Well, let's wait and see what would happen on live servers.
