The gun is basically a more accurate Panzer 4 Schmalturm cannon. Same pen AND damage, and its a tier higher. The Schmalturm has trouble with Tier 8 tanks when using the cannon, and This thing without preferential matchmaking will be using it against Tier 9. Good Luck doing ANY great amount of damage.

DeleteI know this since testserver on which that bloody thing first appears. ROF comparable with Jagdpanther with far more better dmg, fast as hell and with bouncy frontal armor (on T7 meds I was able to penetrate Jagdpanther and this thing is immune to 150mm guns). But as always, SerB knows better whcich leads me to conclusion that they got very little idea which parameter makes tank OP or not.

Oh piss off and learn how to play. The SU-122-44 only even comes close to being OP in low tier matches. When tier 8 and 9 tanks show it its effectiveness in combat drops like a sack of bricks.
Anyway, the E-25 will likely feature preferential MM [which the SU lacks]. If so 0.3 accuracy will be more than enough to pound the weakspots of any enemy up into tier 8, and 150 pen is sufficient for these weakspots.
If this vehicle don't get a limited, decreased MM like the PzV/M10 it will become just a big joke :(

I do. It looks nice, and with its weight and horsepower, it's going to be extremely fast. Unfortunately, with only 4 crew members, it's not going to be very good as a crew trainer.

ReplyDeleteThere are differences between MT and TD and one of them is gun. Don't ya think? It's ok when premium JagdTiger 8.8 has same gun as a Panther2, it's a premium, after all. But prem-TD having same gun as a prem-MT (and even prem-MT of the lower level, Pz4 Schmalturm... not tasty at all. You can't wait WG to up the pen of gun, because it's "historical" (i mean this gun was really planned to set up om e-25), I hope MM wiil be reviewed. Lvl 6 iw great for this crazy dish, we will do have Pz4S with quite armored turret and E-25 with hell-a-speed.

DeleteThe M10 have a Turret and with that it is easy to circle an enemy and hit them on the side/rear. Try that with a TD. TD must have a good Gun but a T7 TD with that Gun and that Pen is useless.

DeleteAlso I doubt that the Asian market has any serious need for this tank, the Chinese server already has the premium WZ-111, equipped with the same Chinese D-25T, and from what I hear on their server you can't buy gold ammo per credits.
I dont care much for the T34 because its not a T9 tank chassis with a T8 gun and it has normal MM. exceptional armor with a "lackluster gun", overall its an IS6 with better overall stats BUT here is the thing: it fires HEAT and its armor will make even T9-10 tanks bounce. so if this abomination receive the MM of the IS6, I will hate it with a passion and gladly share my opinion that consider it a "balanced" tank.

Most people buying premium tanks don't want something difficult to play in. This thing will have problems fighting tier 8 tanks frontally so it will forever need to be flanking like a turretless medium. That, couldpled with awful alpha just makes this thing seems pointless. It brings nothing new to the table, which is what I like from premium tanks.

Seems like a cool city troll - with that ROF and acc you just stay at the beginning of the street and wait until some heavy shows his front wheel and just kill it. If he uses repair kit then you just GTFO. It's gonna be like a SU-100M, but smaller, faster and meaner. Sounds like a lot of fun.

In real life, German 75mm L/70 and British 17-pounder were virtually identical in penetration performance.

Once again WG got the "Full Retard Mode" acivated... With this gun stats on T7 its completely useless as a TD. The ROF cant compensate the practically not existing PEN for this tier. You will only get a very fast "dingdingding" gun. If it will stay like this, its another great job done by WG. So no money from me for this TD... and i was so exited about the E-25

If there's any one thing that the JT 88 has taught me, its that good accuracy can compensate for bad penetration.

What you guys forget are a few things:
ReplyDeleteThe thing is tiny, look at it in Tankviewer and youll notice that it is even lower than the Stug or Hetzer which both have already great camo value.
Then this thing is damn fast, changing position after a few shots or race back to the base as defense is perfectly possible.
Also that way just like you should have done in JpzIV you can quickly get into the enemies flank and normally pen him with ease from there.
Also the 7.5 L70 is already very accurate, with 0.8.6 accuracy changes to all guns this thing is a sniper par exelance.
Reload is lot faster than on other vehicles with this gun, so its a snipering machinegun with a big camo net on top.
Also the gold shells for 7.5 L70 arent that expensive so you can shoot a few and still make a plus and then you got quite good pen on that gun.
Offcourse in close up youre doomed but that is the problem with most TDs.
