WG revenue for 2012 - 218 mil. Euro

Source: http://www.newsru.com/finance/07may2013/woft.html

Not bad, Wargaming, not bad... :)

The WG branch on Cyprus 2012 revenue was declared to be 217,9 mil. Euro, with net profit of 6,1 mil. Euro, as written in the annual report for the Cypriot stock exchange. Almost all the money was gained by its superhit computer game, World of Tanks.

The WG Cyprus company was registered in 2011, it owns the rights to distribute the games of Wargaming.net, which itself was founded in 1998. World of Tanks, released in 2010, became one of the most popular games in the world, with 45 million registered users.

By the end of 2012, Wargaming was the biggest game developer company from former USSR in the world. Another notable Russian game devloper Mail.ru (multiplayer division) made cca 160 mil. USD and the biggest Russian producer of games for mobile devices, Game Insight, made 90 million.

    3. it's a fucking fiscal paradise, what do you expect? even communist states had and still have huge amounts of money there.

Ahhh shit at least WG improves it's game montly. There are much worse companies who are actually ruining their own games, instead of improving them. EA for example.

    6. I don't know how up-to-date this site is, but it claims that Belarus is still a second world country

    7. It says on that very site:

"There is no official definition of the first, second, and the third world."

So there you have it - you can continue to argue about it if you want, but it is literally arguing about nothing. There isn't one thing you can't buy or do in Belarus that you can here in the US.

    8. Can two men get partnered or married in Belarus?

    9. Gay marriage is not the sign of progress, but society degeneration. I really wouldn't bring this into it.

    10. Are you kidding me? They are ruining this game every update. Instead of focusing on really important things, they can only push new tanks in tech trees. That`s pathetic for sure.

    11. I do not get all this bitching.

You have here very entertaining game, which is being continually developed and therefore remains interesting. And on top of that you do not have to pay anything and still can very well enjoy playing it.

That SerB is idiot, who enjoys showing off? And what? It is still better than no communication at all. I am actually really positively surprised that they keep such level of communication with the player base. I would not have anticipated such approach from Russians, whatever their color.

So what is your problem? So much emotions about one game, especially free to play. People, have you noticed that it actually is just a game? There is real life outside and there are issues which are worth your trouble.

PS: I am not saying that things cannot be improved.

    13. AnonymousMay 8, 2013, 10:40:00 AM is right. Take a look at companies such as EA or Activision. They only care to talk with their community only when there's a new game about to launch. And after that, it's fuck you buy our next game if you want that bug/glitch/gameplay breaker stuff changed.

I have to say that even with the swears, trolling etc WG does a nice thing talking with it's community.

    18. OK, to everyone, please. I don't know why that Anonymous asked the question of marriage in the first place but I think that this is too descriminating. One person has one opinion, the other has another opinion. I aint gay but i support gay marriage, cause it aint a big deal if 2 men OR 2 women get married. No need for everyone to start flaming around. Its a part of society, and nothing can change it, who are we to tell whats right and whats wrong?
@Frank: I love your blog and everything, but saying that this kind of marriage is society degenaration..not the right choice of words :P But it doesn't matter ;)

    19. Heh.... "the west" being butthurt about gay marriage? The same west overrun by immigrants (Londonistan ftw, Copenhagen and Oslo...), the same west totally broke (Italy, say hi to Spain and Greece)? The same communist-led west that has laws on EU level about how curved a cocumber should be? And YOU ask others to educate themselves, when your own world is crumbling?

Being enlightened and not supporting Christian (or muslim) dogmas does not mean you have to shift to the other extreme, acting as being gay is cool and as if nothing happens when such "family" adopts kids (I feel sorry for such kids in advance, school will be hell for them).

Being tollerant to gays means you don't ask for punishing the gays like people did (and it's not so long ago when sodomy was outlawed even in the west) - I don't support that. But I hate liberals, pushing all sorts of perversions as "normal" and "cool".

I am locking comments under this article. Any further comments on this topic I will delete.

So wargaming income is definitely not bad.

    4. Well u don't really want to pay taxes when u can invest money in the development of other games/project. As now WG has a lot of open project that cost and make nothing cause still in the development stage so to be fair that profit is too high for me.

They reported these numbers in the past and they do included hardware/companies purchased and other investments, these are all the money they got after purchasing various companies and the usual things that come with the general term "expanding" if they still do their math/reports as they always did.

    1. The question is, whether these results are consolidated, or whether WG stand alone. For example WoWs is being developed by daughter company, but we do not know whose daughter it is :-)

If we assume that 90% of the revenues comes from WoT, than it means approx 4,36 USD pear registered user per year. Taking in account that probably not more than half of the registered users is actively playing, it gives us around 8 USD pear head? Not bad for a game, where you do not have to actually pay anything.

Wargaming.net LLC is London based and owns the Cypriot arm.
Viktor Kislyi is the CEO of them all.
