There are a lot of confused folks out there from what I've seen, so, for the record:
There is a mistake in the official english translation of today's article. The original author of it is Storm, it was almost literally translated from his original.
Storm says: Уменьшение нормализации всех подкалиберных снарядов до 2 градусов (с текущих 5).
It means the normalisation was reduced ONLY for SUBCALIBER (APCR/APDS) shells. The english version says "all AP shells", which is wrong.
Damn. They should really pay me for this shit.
Someone also wrote same in the comments on forum but they ignored it. Hatters gonna hat.

DeleteSS, as far as I understand, APCR/APDS will have a normalization of only 2 degree in 0.8.6 instead of 5. Regular AP shells still have a normalization of 5 degrees in 0.8.6.
ReplyDeleteIn other words: APCR/APDS will be less effective against sloped armour in 0.8.6 than regular AP shells. There might be even some rare cases in which against a highly sloped armor plate, the effective penetration of an APCR shell will be worse than the effective penetration of the regular AP shell (e.g. the 8.8/L71 shells with 203 AP and 237 APCR shell penetration).
Is my assumption correct?

Clearly the Centurion 7/1 and FV4202 was hilariously overpowered with their incredibly imba HESH shells and inaccurate armor models (FV4202 turret, Centurion driver hatch), so they needed a swing with the nerfbat.

DeleteSomeone posted a question to the developers about HESH on the russian forum. Serb said: No updates to HESH in the next patch, for later ones - No comment.
They might consider making the FV4202 useful after all.

DeleteIt's not bad job... But instead if you act like normal person would. They would fire you in the next day. The contact lists are long, every procedure is like daily train passing by, never ending.
DeleteIf you cut a corner they think you stepped on their toes and show you the door, if you play the fool for them, they are just fine even if you have to take your brain on pause to do so...
They care very little of things which could increase productivity or professionalism, they have steady 'growing' player base, because accounts are not deleted, but the core is getting smaller and those who get out try to get people not to get started with the game for they have seen it fall apart. The PR WG gets from players itself is horrible, but as long as there is someone without a clue he is potential customer.
Alas the amount of playability in this game is vast, and it gets you hooked for moment, but then the inevitable backward developement hits you in the tracks and smuggles diesel to your tank and when it is not enough they change it to raw oil.
If WG would care more of player base and their level of employees and gave them more free hands on what they can do... it would work wonders. Also kicking SerB out and put him on 0.5% royalties till WoT dries out would also work wonders...
