- according to Storm, test server shouldn't be as overloaded as it was in 0.8.5
- 10 percent T10 profitability increase was SerB's idea
- Chinese WZ-111 premium heavy won't be introduced to EU server, because such a tank is already in the regular heavy branch
- if you have Object 212 unlocked from S-51, it doesn't mean you will have the SU-14 unlocked too in 0.8.6
- 0.8.6 camo net won't be tied to various vehicle types
- tracers are removed for re-work
- 0.8.6 won't bring other new vehicles, apart from the arties and the premium Excelsior
- the 10 percent T10 profitability buff is tied partially to the pen reduction
- Credit arty costs in 0.8.6 will be roughly equal to TD costs:
900k - T6
1400k - T7
2500k - T8
3500k - T9
6100k - T10
- in 0.8.6 it is possible for tier 10 arty to end up as team's top vehicle
- according the SerB, the short guns from the thirties were short because the engineers didn't know yet how to deal with recoil, and because HE performance was more important anyway
- there will be no interplayer auction in the game
- in 0.8.6, Wargaming (!) fixed the Nvidia interface crash, after its release even those who experience crashes can use latest Nvidia drivers
- it's not known whether post-battle statistics in replays and ingame reload timer will come in 2013
- it's possible a function will be implemented into the game to shoot as soon as the gun is reloaded (there is a mod allowing that currently)
- new French tanks won't come by the time the French celebrate the Bastille day (SS: July 14th)
>- Chinese WZ-111 premium heavy won't be introduced to EU server, because such a tank is already in the regular heavy branch
ReplyDeleteOh crap! That means they'll scape all plans for premium T-44!
>WG
>Logic
not at all
DeleteT-44A was a different tank from the T-44
the WZ-111 is basically the SAME tank as the stock WZ-111 1-4
type-59 = stock WZ-120
type-62 = almost elit WZ-131
Zee7
Actually not. T-44A is the same as stock in-game T-44, if they're going to implement a "different" tank then they'll go with one of the prototypes which used the V-2IS engine and had thinner armour on the glacis and turret.
Deletethat's what I said
Deleteit's not the same situation
Zee7
in 0.8.6, Wargaming (!) fixed the Nvidia interface crash, after its release even those who experience crashes can use latest Nvidia drivers
ReplyDeleteGood thing they spent the entire time blaming it on nVidia.
Yep, despite all the other games I play that don't randomly quit themselves because of my video card, I'm sure glad WG have fixed nvidias mistake! /s
DeleteFrank, don't you mean credits rather than xp?
ReplyDeleteYeah, I think he meant that too.
DeleteSochom89, EU
Ye, typo sorry, will fix
Delete"- in 0.8.6, Wargaming (!) fixed the Nvidia interface crash, after its release even those who experience crashes can use latest Nvidia drivers"
ReplyDeleteBut i downloaded the latest drivers and still crashed two times after than on the tech tree! It's not fixed!

Read 0.8.6
DeleteDamn I misread it. My bad.
DeleteI've had this problem as well - yet zero TDR's (driver crashes) since I upgraded to NVidia 320.18 and used NVidia Expression 1.5 to optimize the graphic settings for WoT 0.8.5.
DeleteIf you are still crashing - a successful 'workaround' was to run the game with 'standard' graphics - not 'improved'.
Depending on whom I spoke with at WGNA, the fault was either WG's with the rendering engine or NVidia and bad drivers. Either way - I've run about 75 battles and done quite a bit in tech tree / depot / garage / store without a single driver crash since I've updated to NVidia's latest.
@up Nvidia Expression 1.5? What's that?
DeleteRecommended drivers according to wg were released last october.
DeleteThe problem exists for months and now they claim that it's solved with an unreleased patch and the 2-day old 320.18 driver? Sure.

DeleteHe means nVidia Experience. You can google it.
Delete@Viktor Kitov Thanks! I'll check it for sure.
DeleteDoes this mean no more CTD when you are playing?
DeleteI get this all the time, shoot a tank, and I'm staring at the desktop :(
XP arty costs.... don't you mean credit costs? Those numbers are really high for XP.
ReplyDelete- new French tanks won't come by the time the French celebrate the Bastille day (SS: July 14th)
ReplyDeleteDayummm! Frenchies get the least updates and new tanks since their introduction.
So sad ;__;
I want AMX 65t pls nao ;__;
I am really looking forward to the AMX-30
Delete-Heinkle
I'm looking forward to the second German TD branch.
DeleteAnd I am looking forward to this:
Deletehttp://worldoftanks.eu/encyclopedia/vehicles/uk/gb78_sexton_i/
Historical Battles
DeleteI'm looking forward to a perfect game balance.Bad that it cannot be "implemented"...
DeleteAlex won this one.
DeleteCardboard dream tank, AMX-30.
DeleteThen if we could get Europanzer as the italian tier 10...
Goblin_5
Europanzer and Leopard PT A are almost the same. Leopard 1 and AMX 30 are similar. But yeah, I'd also like to see the AMX 30 in game even if it would have similar play style to Leo 1.
DeleteAnd to avoid breaking the combo:
I'm looking forward to a Rest of the World Tech Tree.
Is there anyway to make money out of the arty price/lvl changes? From a brief look, you just lose money/break even.
ReplyDeleteTier 4 arties that get moved to tier 5.
DeleteFor example AMX 105AM
Buy now for 180k and sell it after-patch for 200k(it's price will be around 400k)
And the tier 3 sturmpz2
Now it's 50k, after patch will be around 130k.
Buy now for 50k, sell later for 65k
Not big profits but is better than nothing.
I'm thinking of selling all my arty. Up to tier 4 in most lines, up to tier 6 in the Germans. Around 8 arty. Wonder if I'll make a few million and buy a T110E5 instead.
Delete- tracers are removed for re-work
ReplyDeleteSo if I understand correctly, they never think about leave the old tracers stay untill the new one is done and then replace it?
Haha yeah, classic WG.
Deletethe real reason are all the hacks (those SS published here too). By disabling them they can atleast disable one part of the hack and make it less useful. The tracers will come back as soon as they know that they fixed the leak in the game exe that allowed those mods/hacks to work.
DeleteWhich of course is never going to happen.
Delete"The tracers will come back as soon as they know that they fixed the leak in the game exe that allowed those mods/hacks to work."
DeleteWG would have to implement injection detection (and not just change some offset every patch). Seeing the level of the devs there, I don't see it coming.
hummm so i HAVE to buy the 261 before the 8.6 BUT wait to sell the tier 7?
ReplyDelete" in 0.8.6 it is possible for tier 10 arty to end up as team's top vehicle"
ReplyDeleteSo arty can now be (the only) hightier?
GG game broken, WP wargaming, WP
-gloris
yeah thats what your team is dreaming for: you have a tier10 arty while the enemy team just gets this useless e5.
DeleteThat will only happen if artillery have the same weight as other tanks. Otherwise, it will be two arty vs two arty, etc. Your E5 will be useless once it gets shot by the arty from 800m away in a bush, anyway.
Delete"- if you have Object 212 unlocked from S-51, it doesn't mean you will have the SU-14 unlocked too in 0.8.6"
ReplyDeleteWhat about if you have researched an arty then it gets moved up a tier will the same arty be researched already? and what about the arty that replaced it at the lower tier will it also be already researched?
Everything that you've unlocked completely will be unlocked in 0.8.6. If there will be any new vehicles in between what you've unlocked, they'll be unlocked also.
DeleteFor example if you now have unlocked T92, you'll get unlocked M53/55 and T92.
If you only have partial exp for T92 (not unlocked), the exp will move onto unlocking the M53/55 and you'll have to research T92 from the start.
Someone tell me the details of the shoot as soon as you reload mod?
ReplyDeleteOf course, it is called FireBurst.
Deletehttp://drongo-lab.ru/0-8-3-firebursts-mod-strelyaem-srazu-posle-perezaryadki/
is this safe to use? or its a bannable macro?
DeleteThen give our WZ-111 130mm of armour, like the tier 8 chinese one :P
ReplyDeleteAlso, are you people sure 112 is different to 113? I mean I am not sure whether I see a difference :P . Dont have a 113.
AFAIK the 113 has a better engine and a much better gun.
Delete..it is two tiers higher though.
Holy shit you're right what is WG thinking? Putting a tier 10 on tier 8 with only nerfed speed and a worse gun?
DeleteArty credit price: Yay, I almost get the full price of my GW Typ E back when I sell it.
ReplyDelete- according the SerB, the short guns from the thirties were short because the engineers didn't know yet how to deal with recoil, and because HE performance was more important anyway
ReplyDeleteThis is untrue and obviously shown by the design and construction of artillery prior to the 1930s. 10.5cm leFH18, QF 18 pr and Canon de 75 modèle 1897 (French 75) to name a few.
Short barrel guns = low muzzle velocity meaning the design is meant for HE not AP. The Pzkpfw IV Ausf D had the short 75mm as it was meant for infantry support not anti tank. The Pzkpfw III Ausf N had the same short 75mm also meant for HE work in support of the Tigers.
Of course there is more detail but I don't want to bore people with endless data proving SerBs ignorance.
I hate to burst your bubble, but both those guns you listed are low-velocity, short barreled guns. Heck, WW1 tanks had muzzle velocities of 500+ m/s, which is around what those 2 guns you listed are.
DeleteThe 7.5 cm Pak 97/38 was a German modified Canon de 75 modèle 1897 used during WW2 as a stop-gap, that was intended to fire HEAT because it would have been useless to fire AP.
Comprehension isn't your forte.
DeleteI've mentioned 4 guns;
105mm leFH18
QF 18pr (3.3in or 84mm)
Canon de 75 modèle 1897 (75mm)
and the 75mm KwK37 L/24 of the PzIVD and PzIIIN
The first three had more than adequate design of the recoil system and were able to penetrate up to 75mm of armour using AP.
In anycase my point was they had already designed adequate recoil mechanism prior to 1930 so Serb is just plain wrong.
Nothing new about that.
DeleteOr he may be referring to fitting the damn things into turrets without the recoil busting the traverse mechanism, assuming that was a concern at the time. That artillery engineers had long known how to deal with recoil forces is self-evident - leaving aside the often rather ingenious older solutions, hydraulic buffers were the industry standard from 1897 already (the Germans actually had to rather hastily redesign and replace their newest field gun when the French rolled out the Soixante-Quinze... which the Sherman's gun was a more or less direct derivative of too, AFAIK).
DeleteAnd for what OTHER numerous problems they had, I don't remember reading of the Saint-Chamond or A7V having had issues with their main guns' recoil.
And THEN there was the big stuff used in warships and coastal batteries...
Tanks require different recoil suppression than field guns. For starters, gun is mounted higher and is located in a turret which can be positioned on non-flat ground. Then there's a problem of limited space in the turret itself (Soviet crews often had injuries due to gun recoil, BTW). Then again, there's a problem of armoring the anti-recoil brakes which protrude to the front...
DeleteIn short - don't assume that experience with field and even naval guns was mechanically carried over to tanks. Mounting long-barreled and/or high-caliber guns in tanks started to happen during WW2 and required extensive research of their own... that was one of the reason to abandon e.g. KV, PzIV etc which couldn't be easily upgunned.
And yes, HE performance was more important (and remained more important for anyone but Germans, who were the only ones who had to face more numerous enemy tanks). E.g. typical IS-2/T-34 loadout was 66% HE, 33% AP. Even tank destroyers had 50% AP, 50% HE. Statistics - encountering an enemy tank (for anyone except Germans) was less likely than, say, overcoming an enemy strong point.
I don't really understand why people argue with Serb while obviously not having researched the topic to the same depth as he did.
Was curious if there has been anymore information on controlling dual guns on tanks in the game. I.E. M3 lee with being able to use the 75 m3 L/37 and the 45mm M3 L/33 on the turret.
ReplyDeleteMost of the "dual guns" will be implemented with the support of 2 (or more) turrets, a long time ago SerB mentioned the T-35 (soviet) and the M3 getting the benifits most.
DeleteFrank - Any ideas what or when the next French Vehicles will arrive? (besides arty) and what they might be? just wondering how much time i have to get the engineer medal ;)
ReplyDeleteBravo_two_six
I'm not SS, but i can give a pretty vague answer to this one.
Deletehttp://wiki.worldoftanks.ru/uploads/b/b7/French_full.jpg this IS a pretty vague answer, but you could think about this - though there have been rumors about a diff T10 heavy. Was planning on asking the QA about the research trees and the old pics of those any way. http://wiki.worldoftanks.ru/%D0%A4%D0%B0%D0%B9%D0%BB:Ussr_full.jpg also this, since all the others are either the same as in-game (us, china, britons) and the german tree is actually out-of-date pretty much - there's no leo1 on the tree.
What about the research-cost of the arties, will they change also massivly? Im thinking about to buy GWTyp E to save a lot of credits, that should be around 2600k. But the research price is 50k more than other TX tanks atm and i have to spent mostly free xp which hurts a lot. So if they wont change, I will by it before 8.6 goes alive. What do you think?
ReplyDeleteLuke
I am curious about this as well. I have almost unlocked the Obj 212 with the S-51, and that grind was worth it. I'm no where near unlocking another Tier 8 arty, but looking at the XP required, I doubt it will change all that much. If you are close, I would grind the heck out of your GW Tiger until 8.6, then make your decision right before the patch. If you are not close, I'd wait until after the patch.
DeleteSomething to consider is that the XP penalty for arty is going away with 0.8.6. We are only getting half the XP now that we will after the next patch. It will take you fewer battles after 8.6 to get the same XP you need to move up.
So, it boils down to saving credits or saving time. Buy now, save a lot of credits. Buy later, save a lot of time.
Y U NO UPDATE BLOG ON SUNDAY? ;)
ReplyDelete"if you have Object 212 unlocked from S-51, it doesn't mean you will have the SU-14 unlocked too in 0.8.6"
ReplyDeleteAnd what will happen when you want to research the Obj. 212 from S-51, because you hated the SU-14 and are not able to get the XP before 8.6 with S-51?
Are you then forced to play the SU-14 to get to the Obj212?
Nobody forces you to play anything but to get to Obj212 you will have to research via SU14 if you don't research it before the patch.
DeleteAnd if you already have SU14 researched then you are double ****** because you will have all that exp sat on the S-51 with nowhere for it to go.
"And if you already have SU14 researched then you are double ****** because you will have all that exp sat on the S-51 with nowhere for it to go."
DeleteDamn, that really sounds like a raw deal. Makes grinding the S-51 for the 212 so worth it prior to 0.8.6.
Another bad thing about that change is the research for the SU-14. Module-wise, the SU-14 and the S-51 are virtually identical. Only the suspensions are different. This means after the patch, researching the Tier 8 SU-14 from the Tier 7 S-51 gives you slower speed and traverse, less armor, shorter view range and the same gun/dpm. Really doesn't sound like a fair deal. I'm glad I'll be past it by then.
Well, not the best news, but thank you...
DeleteI`ll try to re-buy the SU-14 so I dont have to buy it as an VIII vehicle and sell my S-51 in peace.
