28.4.2013

- apparently no special steps will be taken to increase the amount of less popular tanks, such as the Minimaus, Maus, FV4202 etc.
- when rebalancing tanks, the opinion of players is not taken into account
- SerB states that the counter-artillery hack doesn't really work
- ingame VK2801 is not related in any way to Daimler Benz
- Japanese tree: "when it's done it's done"
- the amount of free XP gained each battle automatically will not be increased
- Q: "Have the Spitfires been uncovered in Myanmar?" A: "No. Unfortunately the comrade who pulled us into that enterprise turned out to be no comrade at all."
- regarding the "digital" Chinese camouflage: for now there are no plans to introduce such a camouflage pattern for other nations
- the lowtier tank map limit doesn't apply to tank tiers, but rather battle tiers (SS: eg. M22 Locust can get to Westfield, as demonstrated by the asking Russian player)
- apparently, the Chinese will have a "Type 100" tank destroyer with either a 100mm or 122mm Chinese gun (SS: absolutely no idea what this is about, I have never seen such a tank mentioned anywhere, but SerB was recently on a meeting with players, maybe it's some reference from there, will ask the guy who asked the question in first place)
- it's possible there will be a second British medium branch implemented (what will be its tier 10 is unknown)
- "superpremium" accounts (that would give twice as big bonuses as regular accounts) are not planned, as to the other proposed PA buffs: "no comment for now"
- SerB states that there will be no more "pay to win" in the game, WG is focusing on selling comfortable levelling up, but it's just fine if you play for free
- SerB: "the option to change the account e-mail lowers the account's security level"
- according to SerB, the Indienpanzer frontal upper/lower armor meeting point is not bugged

I'm curious what they believe currently is considered pay to win.

    1. Well they seem to have pretty aggressively purged most meanigful elements thereof already (ie. made it possible to purchase them with credits). I'm guessing he means no P2W stuff is going to be added in the future either.

    2. Nothing AFAIK. The answer was aimed at a player who moaned he wants more power when spending money.

    3. I have to say some players in this game likes to complain or moan they want POWAR and nothing else. There's still pay to win aspects aka getting the Top Tier Tanks before anyone else. (aka convertible XP that's still Gold based.)

    4. Moar liek Pay2Fail amirite guise? Because it kinda tends to show when people have rushed to the high tiers with Wallet Power(tm)...

      Delete
    5. But the great players can do that and still do great in the tanks they used Wallet Power or the free gold they get via Clan Wars. Though I have to agree with you Pay2Fail it's quite hilarious. lawl

    6. How does a top tier tank influences your battle performance, respectively your chance of winning a game?

    7. *shrug* Far as I'm concerned the great players have EARNED the right to be able to proceed very quickly to the top tiers if they're willing to invest the effort; this is hardly P2W since per definitionem they're rather good at winning *anyway* (and more likely than not have at least a few Tier Tens to begin with).

Conversely the stereotypical Wallet Warrior baddies are only going to be even greater burdens to their teams with "capstone" tanks, since they'll be fairly useless at the top of the list.

Why would they take steps when SerB is the happiest when everyone drives russkies and even more happier if no one drives Krauts

    2. Agreed. Though it would've been better if they didn't remove the Captured French Tanks from the In-Game Store for the Germans.. >.>

    3. Minimaus means the VK45 B here i guess... The Pz38h is called micromaus

    4. Micro Maus? Mini Maus?
      Pz38h f375 is that.
      Not Vk "Sidescrap" 45P.

    5. Vk45P is the minimaus
      Pz38hf375 is the micromaus
      micro<<mini

    6. Today is the first time I heard that vk45p is called minimaus.
That is just stupid and silly.

      Delete
    7. Well vk45p has been called MiniMaus for quite long actually. If I remember correctly first time I personaly heard 38H called MicroMaus and VK4502p Ausf.B caled MiniMaus was about a year ago.

    8. As Deadalus wrote, but I have seen it much sooner, just after release, when VK45p was much more numerous then now.

    9. Once a tank is not popular with players, it will stay that way.

Vickers Medium Mk. I, what else can be?

    1. Probably the Vickers MBT will probably be the Second Top Tier Medium and it'll be OP when it comes out then get nerfed to hell.

    2. Perhaps a prototype Chieftain tank?

With new fire extinguisher system is either "burn you somamabitch" or buy 20k worth of second chance.

    More like pay to survive....

    1. How can something available for credits be Pay2Win??

      Seriously, i dont get it.

Well, u might say u need a Premium Account or/and a Premium Tank to get enough credits. But u can also grind your credits in a T5 Moneymaker, which is much more effort though

But that is exactly what SerB says, they dont sell Pay2win. They sell "less effort"
But you dont have a general advantage on your battle performance by spending real money that cant be gained without

      Delete
    2. Err, the Chinese Server of World of Tanks does sell "Pay2Win." 600 dollars for an outrageously gold skin of a tank is silly.

      Delete
    3. Whine, sniwel, bitch.

Get it on sale for 10k, it is used relatively rarely - i run it on tier 8+ stuff since patch and in ~200 battles (all nations, ~2/3 at tier 8+), used whole 3 of them.

    4. Chinese WOT is a private owned not by wargaming.

      Delete
    5. The peculiarities of Chinese WoT are also completely irrelevant to everyone else, save that we have to shake our heads at the decidedly "untanky" maps designed to appeal to their sensibilities (or whatever).

At least Pearl River isn't *quite* as bad in that regard as Dragon Ridge, what with less vertical travel.

      Delete
    6. Actually I was _really_ surprised about Pearl River - it's quite a good map, fun to play with all kinds of tanks. It's not even half as bad as Dragon Ridge imho...

  6. Frank, i can't find any info regarding the Type 100 (AFAIK that was a japanese SMG if my memory does not fail me..) did you managed to ask the player about it?

    1. Maybe they're talking about a chinese type 100 aka SU-100's copy.
      (Type T-34 story)

      Delete
    2. There was no SU-100 copy, probably just China redesignating it as the Type 100. Russian tanks for the Chinese tree as usual.

      Delete
    3. So it will be like SU-100 with depression like, well, 1-2 degrees with no reason for it (Oh wait, there is a reason: it's "chinese" vehicle and screw you. that's why) but marvellous HEAT ammo (like IS-2 has).

What is this about? Is there something strange at this point? Too much armor? Not enough?

    1. I think not enough...it gets penned there like it's the lower plate.

But anyway, don't know what big problem can that be since the tank has obvious weakspots...
