25.4.2013

- the option to restore sold tank crews after you get your account back (if you become a victim of account theft/hacking) will be implemented relatively soon
- there will be a protection from accidental crew dismissal implemented, but not soon
- today's RU server minipatch doesn't cause 8.5 replays not to run (SS: not sure this concerns EU/NA)
- the possibility to load the autoloader with various shell composition (SS: for example 2 AP and 3 HE) will not be implemented
- the possibility for players to make maps won't be implemented: "To be original and interesting is not enough, they have to be worked-on. And to search amongst the thousands of "my school and house" map proposals for one decent proposal and to polish it for gameplay on top of that is much more expensive than to make the map ourselves"
- the M4A2E4 Sherman elevation/depression rollback in 0.8.5 (from 0.8.4 values back to 0.8.3) happened correctly: the depression was returned to the old one too (from -5 to -10), it was just forgotten in the patchnotes
- according to devs, Maus is doing fine statistically. It will be buffed just a bit (not significantly) and it won't happen too soon, the buff has low priority
- premium tier 8 vehicles won't come in first half of 2013, but in second they will
- Serene Coast and Komarin will return in 2nd half of 2013, they will both be changed a lot
- Sexton was moved to 8.6, because just like the rest of the arty it will be rebalanced
- all arty vehicles will be completely rebalanced in general

  1. People hated serene coast but I loved it. But that might stem from thr fact that most of the time I was dropped in that map I was in an American tank. Those hills, incline and declines made hulldown real fun. German tanks could snipe fairly well too but is was the russians that were severely ass-pained. Cant hulldown neither snipe.

    3. Indien Panzer has tier 8 heavy tank MM, so it's intended to be like that

    4. of course but priot to patch i was not getting every single game t10 on t8 tanks

      Delete
    5. yes im
      care to explain why ?

    6. You buy a premium account and the mm will be much more gentle, belive me. Working as intended.

    8. Viktor Kitov are you stupid?? i played alot my t8 just before patch and i was almost always top tank, or at least the 3rd or 4th. With my Indien Panzer i end up at the bottom next to t8 arty each game!!!

Thanks Finear i was thinking too it might be because the fresh patch and probably will take a few days for the MM to settle down.

    9. I'd like to point out you can't get tiers 11 and 12 of matches in a tier 8 vehicle

    10. MM makes you bottom and top balanced. There is your issue: before patch, you were on top. After patch you are on bottom. Just do some games and you will be again balanced in MM.

  4. Good, i can't wait to see if there is an influx of tier 10 tanks with the artillery re balance. Because nothing hurts more than 4+ arty on both teams.

ROTFL. Even EA is not that retarded.
And tbh most of their maps are shit, badly designed.

How about they make it a once per year contest.. we make some maps, the best ones can be rewarded and can maybe even get into the game. That way there wouldn't be 50 map uploads daily.. just once per year..

    1. Tbh, they just want to keep their might and power and give a shit of players feedback and work. Kind of dicatorship and so they wont do even a contest. Iam sure WoT has alot of people that done mapping before in other games or doing stuff like that in real life work, so they could do really awesome stuff, but they just dont want it. If they would give the people specifics about the maps, the work is quite less in my opinion.

Russians are russians , just watch their system and you will see, they want and need power to be someone, and this is the same for WG !

    2. would be very cool to be able to make a map, i mean look at all the gay maps they introduced in the last few patches most of them have to be reworked ( fucking noob designs with huge hills and campfests) introducing map creator would also bring the community closer together. so they say its costs to much to flick through the maps and see which ones could be a possible candidate? sure 1 man could do that, or just do a poll on it in the community forum and see which one rates higher. sure to god the community maps would be better than the piece of shit maps they are making now with all these fucking bumps.

    3. @Tatsuya:
Belarusians aren't Great Russians for starters, dumbass. And your trite ethnic slurs don't even make sense.

      Delete
    4. That doesn't take away the fact that WG seems to dislike giving its players "power".

    5. Power to make thousands of stupid maps?

    6. @Kellomies: Belorussia was part of the Soviet Union and all its misery and oppression for many decades. Linguistically Belorussia" actually means "Western Russia". These people are Russian, claim what you want. As far as their mentality goes: They are still having an authoritarian regime (which is actually referred to as "Europe's last dictatorship").

Since I believe that every people has the government it deserves, I believe that the Belorussian political system says something about Belorussian "mentality" or "cultural mold".

Next time investigate, and *think*, before putting something off as "racial slur".

      Delete
    7. Yes, Russians that don't speek russian... They have their own language, you know, that is different from Russian. And "Belorusia" don't mean "Western Russia", it's mean "White Rus'".

      Delete
    8. Going offtopic: they aren't even sure if they want to keep their independence, or if they go back to Mother Russia...

    9. I see how they are not sure for ~25 years.

    ___________________________________________________________________
Sure it's doing fine when no one fucking drives it....you need to play like 50 high tier battles to see one Maus....mine is collecting dust in garage for months now...just not fun to drive at all, rather opposite pure pain to drive with all those muthafucka light speed scouts/mediums that can fill you up any day with gold ammo...but on the other hand in every single high tier battle you see dozens of batchats,t62As,IS7s,foch155s,E-100 now and then since it's gold ammo is available for credits,110s(both heavy and TDs,E3 less than E5 and E4 but you see them quite regularly)....why? Bcs they are fun to drive, they are more balanced, most of them even at the border of OPness, some definitely OP but Maus is nowhere to see...it's pretty simple,,,people tends to drive what is more easier/funnier/OP...

    ReplyDelete
  8. Exactly. My Maus sits in the garage collecting dust along with my JPE. 4 skill crew on the JPE is permanently in the JT 88. Maus needs massive buffs to be statistically good, even more buffs to be actually fun. Wargaming developers are idiots, like drooling on the floor idiots. But they are smart when it comes to getting morons like us to pay them for a tank game. We are like crack addicts.

  9. MAUS is available for me to buy for long time, but I haven't done it.

And I can tell you, it's the last one in the "Next-to-be-bought" -list.

    1) Not so impressive

    2) I don't want to raise its' stats, because it needs to be buffed before I want it. I mean, the tank is big like shit and the gun's damage & penetration is lol.

3)They gave IS7 +10kmh max speed and that mtf was already better armored and smaller target than MAUS. Stalin's personal cheat tank. Reverse in the enemy base and get only dings and 0-shots against your tank.

    1. IS-7 isn't that good. T110E5 is better in all ways than IS-7. E-100, T110E5, T57 are CW viable, while IS-7 is not.

And this Max speed buff was useless, because IS-7 can't even reach 40 km/h. Buy it, see how this tank is "OP" and "cheat", and sell it.

      Delete
    2. The IS-7 still is a very capable and powerful CW tank. The E-100 on the other side is not a usual choice for CW.

      Delete
    3. T110E5 does everything that IS-7 can, only better. Why even use IS-7 when you have T-cmfrt-110E5?

  10. I don´t think it´s only Mouse problem. I noticed driving my Ferdinand + IS3 that nowadays everybody who bouces a shot or two from you will just reload to gold put holes right through you. I think the whole gold ammo for credits made the game higly unbalanced. The armor is just now something you cannot rely on to protect you :-(

  11. Well the gundepression on the m4a2e4 is not rolled back though it might have been improved from last patch, not sure.
There are still two "bumps" when rotating the turret

  12. Since we are on topic of maps ;) : what do you think about random terrain generator - for unique map every time? I made a thread on EU forum some time ago, but it died.
All these human-made maps get boring too quickly, there's just not enough of them and even a new map every month won't solve the problem.

  13. Hrmm, they can't implement player-designed maps because it would take so long to sort through all the entries, huh?

I wonder, have they EVER used a modern video game or distribution service? 75% of the ones that allow custom content, especially the ones with steam workshop support, allow for voting to promote good maps and content.

If they're making so much money, Wargaming should really put some sort of effort into their denials. It's obvious that they're either too lazy or too fearful of giving up their tenuous grasp on creative control to implement anything useful.

It's humorous, considering the general average-bad quality of the maps in game currently. With a few exceptions, none of them really stand out as well balanced or particularly fun.
