8.4 undocumented changes

Source: http://wot-news.com/main/post/03042013/2/Neoficialanyjj-patch-084

The first number is the 8.4 value, the second the difference from 8.3. To avoid any confusion, I am using EU depression/elevation measures, not the RU ones. So, if it says "depression 6 (1)", it means "the gun depression was buffed by one degrees", where for example "elevation 17 (-8)" means "elevation was nerfed by 8 degrees". Logically, "depression 6 (-1) would mean the depression was nerfed by 1 degree" and so on.

T-50-2
F-34 gun elevation 17 (-8)
F-34 gun depression 6 (1)

T-54
LB-1 gun elevation 20 (-3)
LB-1 gun depression 5 (-2)

Tiger P
88mm L/56 elevation 17 (-1)
105mm L/28 elevation 17 (-1)

E-75
105mm L/68 depression 8 (1)
128mm L/55 depression 8 (3)
128mm L/55 elevation 24 (6)

US gun 75mm M3 L37A
Elevation: 20 (-5)
Depression: 5 (-5)

US gun 120mm T179 (from T57/58)
Elevation: 12 (-3)

Renault BS
Suspension M17 braking force: 4500 (-31000)
Suspension M26 braking force: 5000 (-30500)
(SS: this basically means Renault BS stops being able to stop on the spot as if "glued" I think)

D1
37mm APX SA18 depression: 20 (18)
37mm SA38 elevation: 17 (4)
37mm SA38 depression: 6 (4)

AMX M4 (1945)
90mm DCA30 depression: 10 (5)
90mm F3 depression: 10 (5)
90mm DCA 45 depression: 10 (5)
105mm 13TR depression: 10 (5)

    2. Ry0ken here:
Ah btw, got a huge pile of work before me but got more books on the Panther and they all still state -8° to +20° for all Panther turrets including the Schmalturm! Only exception so far is the wooden Modell for the Schmalturm bearing the 8.8 gun which has a -8° to +15° stated.

So besides from the Panther-M10 ALL turret/gun combinations of Panther and PantherII from Wargaming are wrong!

  2. Wait whaaaaaat?

    E-75

    128mm L/55 depression 8 (3) =11
    128mm L/55 elevation 24 (6) = 30??

So that means the 128mm depression is 8+3=11? better than americans T32,T34, kings of hulldowns etc?

    Is this really correct?

    1. Seriusly, are you retarded? Can you read? "The first number is the 8.4 value, the second the difference from 8.3."

    2. it's not -11 gun depression... it's -8. If you cared reading the post at all than just checking stats.

    3. Another genius! :D I would love a -11° depression too, but guys seriously read the text.

    4. What the fuck are you talking about, it was ALREADY -8+24 look at the fucking wiki!!!

    5. You do realize different guns have different depression, don't you...

      Delete
    6. It already had with those guns 8° depression.

      Delete
    7. Well, then the Russian got it wrong *shrugs*

      Delete
    8. Maybe it wasn't to all sides (same with AMX)?

  4. Where can I find similar statistics for other tanks?

    1. You can't. These things are generally datamined. WoTDB comes as close as it gets I am afraid.

    2. wotdb seems very out of date to me. gamemodels3d shows this info as well (next to hp of modules, shell damage to modules, module layout, armor layout and lots more)and apears very up to date (exept the module layout seems to have stoped after 0.74)

  5. I can extract those values from the game. Gun depressions, module HPs, dispersions, terrain resistances, climbing angles ... etc. But somebody else is already doing diff between versions: http://wot-news.com/game/compare/en

  6. I am confused...
    E-75
    105mm L/68 depression 8 (1)
    128mm L/55 depression 8 (3)
    128mm L/55 elevation 24 (6)

E75 top gun always had -8 depression... wtf?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Exactly...don't know where's the difference...same for the post below...amx m4 always had -10° gun depression...

    2. actually the ladder is not true.

Ive played the amx M4 (~early-mid last year) with a horrible gun-depression... i know it was -5 but it felt like -3 or even less, due to the big and clumsy hull.

      Delete
    3. Exactly, E-75 always had 8 and 24 elevation.
      So no difference here.
VK4502P had 5 and 18 from what I remember, though.

    4. I played AMX M4 when it came out and quite frankly, if halfway standing on a destroyed truck, it couldnt aim at same-level enemies. So afaik, original incarnation really had 3° depression.

      Delete
  7. Doesn't the Amx M4 already have -10 gun depression? According to the WoT wiki the Sides have only -5 gun depression, is this the buff you are specifying?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yes AMX M4 gets -10 for all sides I believe.

      Delete
  8. Just because I couldn't see it in the patch notes, didn't the VK2801 also get an armour nerf from 60/40/30 to 50/30/30?

    ReplyDelete
  9. i'll buy E-75, has researched it but did not buy, due to it's horrible gun depression.

with 24 gun depression 8(3){8*3=24} it's the best gun depression ever! i can shot my own tracks.

tnx for all the smart comments about how to read those very difficult numbers.

first number, hmmm what is it, second number dua! i'm confused.

    1. damn, cant you read? its 8^3 = 512
the cannon now can do a 360° flip through the hull, which will open up in 2 parts dependend where your gun is loking at
extremely experimental, but WG says its historical

    2. The first number is the depression/elevation value in 8.4, the second one is for how much the depression/elevation was buffed or nerfed.

Read the comments or the post, god damnit....

      Delete
    3. But it wasn't buffed, since it was ALWAYS 8.

    1. Checked it on wot-news and even though it is displayed sort of sloppily there, you can clearly see that E75 has -5° depression right now and will gain -3° extra in 0.8.4 which will bring it to a whooping -8°. Right Mr Adam Ries?

Don't know where your data comes from.

  11. I can imagine the next 'unofficial Change' now...

"83mm HE shell cost will be lowered to 84 silver per shell, not raised to 260."
