  1. no HEAT on the leopard? really?

    :(

Well, i guess the accuracy will make up for it. Unless WG botches the design terribly, i'll still get it because of its advantages.

    1. The HEAT shells will most likely be the silver ones.

    2. Then the leo will suck without gold.
      More pay2win, yay...

    3. Frank Davis i think silver ammo of Leo 1 will be APCR the same as other tier X med, and gold ammo will be APDS. There is no way dev will put HEAT as silver ammo, that's too OP.

    4. You meant UP? HEAT sucks mate.

    5. APDS! less damage for ridiculous pen? That is what I gathered from the response as well

    6. What is APDS ?

Are there any tank already shooting that kind of ammo?

      Delete
    7. FV215b HT and Conqueror firing APDS as gold ammunition with L1A1 120mm gun. This ammo have 350mm of penetration. Gold ammunition of Leopard 1 will probably have similar pen.

    8. lol!!! FV and CQ fires APCR as gold. Check the wiki!! not to mention i used to play my FV215B alot and then i started using gold ammo. Only to realise that the pen stats is either fake, or the shell is pure BULLSHIT.

So far for me it was like this : 3 gold shells fired from 20m at E100 turret. All bounced!!!!

3 fired at T110E3 belly. Bounce, bounce, bounce. And like 5 of them shot at IS-7 upper front plate, turret front. 4 bounced 1 penned.

That was the last time i will ever waste credits on gold ammo for FV215B. And if Leopard will use the same rounds, then it's good as useless.

      Hope Leo will use HEAT.

    10. Hey Anon, do you really own a FV215b ? Last time i checked, the gold ammo of L1 gun is APDS. Here is a screenshot i borrow from wotguru.com:
      http://wotguru.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/10FV215b_7.jpg

And those APDS rounds are awsome, not bullshut, i have more success using it than HEAT round of American HT.

    11. Ok i am not the Anon above but he is right.
Just have a look at your screenshot. It shows it fires AP Composite Rigid which is the long term for APCR. So he is right.
But you are also not 100% wrong cause the shell also has the APDS in the name. But WoT runs this as normal APCR rounds. Just check the gun and the available amunition.

  3. God no, please not HESH ammo. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

    1. HESH is not a subcalibre round. This indicates that the Leo 1 will most likely get a more modern, higher pen APDS round as its gold shell.

    2. Really interesting, cause shell caliber influence module dmg, so expect a great gold shell that deal less dmg to modules.

    1. What's the issue with the armour?

      Delete
    2. maybe the 200mm frontal arour or it might be the side armour wich is 100mm and its spaced as well.

  5. The Panzer V/IV is mostly accurate...except that the historical model had its turret fixed forward because of the differences in turret ring sizes. I asked about that during closed beta and was told the decision had been made to make the turret fully functional as a matter of game balance.

  7. "KV-1S won't lose its 122mm gun"
-Then they need to nerf the vehicle and gun somewhat then because it totally dominates any Tier 6 Tank Companies or the Tier 6 clan battles outperforming its equivalents. I'm sure the Devs don't want the best tanks in each tier to be Russian do they?

    1. No. "Russian bias!!1!" argument is no longer funny.

      Delete
    2. IF you ever played against a company of, say, 6-8 KV-1s backed up by two Grilles and some med or two, you'd know that they DO totally dominate, because if even half of them focuses fire, they will kill anything instantly. Bias or no bias, it's not balanced for that.

      Delete
    3. Yeah, you may have a point, but shouting "Russian bias" is no longer an argument. Of course needs rebalancing, but let's be rational...

      Delete
    4. Had roughly 10 wins out of 12 games in company battles, playing with a rag tag group of KV-2s, T 34-85s, M4E8s, and one Grille. All against companies made up mostly of KV1s.
They did try to focus fire, but failed most of the time because of proper scouting on our part / long range duels are bad for that gun / nothing beats the derp KV2 at close range.

  8. "8.5 will not contain RU251, it will arrive within the frame of a few patches"

    so, its either:

1)they are revamping the german scout line (Aufklaerungs Panther, I'm looking at you!)
2)the patch that gets the RU251 will be a scout-only patch, i.e., it will have the expected US and Soviet scout lines shuffle.
3)other(e.g., Aufklaerungs Maus as tier 7 LT :P)

    place your bets!

  12. Oh I just saw 8.5 was planned for April on EU server (In development section), so tier 10 arty might still be for June

  15. - KV-1S won't lose its 122mm gun

This is really disconcerting to hear them say. Alongside the SU-100Y, it seems that WG.net is totally OK with overpowered alpha tanks again, and that really gets under my skin. For awhile I thought they had got some sense back into them, from removing/re-tiering the high alpha guns on the original KV, and the SU-85. I don't understand it.

If they'd just swap the 122 for the 100, the vehicle would no longer be OP.

    ReplyDelete
  16. And how long were KV OP until they finally nerfed it. And it took them 2 secs to nerf the PzIV bcs for some reason 75/L70 was "OP" and 440 damage with 196 pen on T6 is just fine....well SUCK MY HAIRY BALLZ WG....retarded communist piece of shit

"Communist" - Maybe in the 80's, get over your personal Cold War.
"Piece of shit" - Well, I wouldn't play a "piece of shit" game, would you?

  20. I like this part, it was pretty obvious a long time ago:

"- tanks have individual credit-making coefficients"

But thanks to your translations, we also know that yet again SerB or whoever wrote that is a hypocrite, because not long ago SerB said, that all tanks have the same coefficient, the differences lie in some super secret bonuses for various cold war actions never to be spoken again.

    ofc it doesnt
    - T54 won't have its frontal armor nerfed
    ofc it doesnt

Try to play Churchill GC, totally unplayable piece of sht. I have difficulties to pen and hit with with .34 acc 214 pen gun then I see KV-1S sniping targets from further distance and getting 9 kills.

  22. "14 days RO ban for misinformation"

    Yeah, right.

If it was misinformation, WG wouldn't bat an eye; they basically ratted themselves out and confirmed it by doing that.

    ReplyDelete
  23. "Panzer IV/V is historical according to Wargaming's sources". Photographic evidence clearly shows the turret had spaced armor, yet WG asserts the current model is still historical? Anti-German bias working as intended.

"KV-1S won't lose its 122mm gun". Historically, the KV-1S was never mounted with such a gun, the best it ever had was the 85 mm (Russian bias working as intended).
