Confirmed: German top LT will be RU251 with 90mm BK
"To reduce the streams of tears after the VK2801 nerf" - RU251 Prototyp mit 90mm BK
Dimensions: 6.2 m x 3 m x 2.49 m
Crew: 4
Weight: 24 tons (loaded)
Speed: 78~80 km/h
Main Armament: 90 mm PzK
Engine: Daimler-Benz diesel, 500 hp
Ground pressure: 0.70 kg/sq.cm
What else is known:
- it will follow after VK2801
- VK2801 was nerfed because it was overpowered lately with the gold ammo
Maybe I'm blind, but I didn't see anything anywhere about VK28 nerf, is it something else other than tier change?
ReplyDeleteYes, it's slower and less maneuverable. How much exactly - I'll find out.
DeleteAh yes, here: http://forum.worldoftanks.eu/index.php?/topic/211125-vk2801-got-hit-by-the-nerfbat-hard-at-least-in-the-testserver-also-how-would-you-nerf-gold-105mm-derp-rounds-as-alternative/
DeleteWhat a way to kill a good tank.
Deletei made 3093xp with it, try this now after the nerf :)
DeleteIt is shit now, it's high repair cost persisted (shouldn't it be in line with tier 6 scouts - around 4k?), no sane person will play it now
Deletemh, so they now want to equip it with a 90mm gun?
ReplyDeleteI thought they don't wanted to do it :/
They changed their mind it seems.
Deletewasn't there supposed to be the Aufklärungspanther as tier 7 light tank rather than this one (or this one would be the tier 8 light tank)?
ReplyDeleteThis will be T8, APanther is still scheduled for T7 as far as I know.
DeleteAfther theese two i'd expect a connection to the medium line. From the RU251 to the Prototype Leopard tier 9...
DeleteAlso, i dont know why they dont want a 90mm gun when the tier 8 chinese light has a 100mm one (and a 122mm one i think..)
Look-a-like Leopard 1, Me want :D
ReplyDeleteVK2801 was nerfed because Wargaming for sure knows how to piss customers off.
ReplyDeleteSo the 2801 get its speed nerfed because HEAT was too powerful? Wow...makes sense to me... why not just reduce the power of HEAT instead of breaking the tank? You are reducing its armor but making it weight more and go slower. WTF? How does this make sense to anyone at Wargaming? As for MM changes...will it still face Tier X tanks - YES!
ReplyDeleteThe entire change is bullshit - and you know it. The RU251 will be out when? 2015? 2017? rofl...Wargaming is becoming a joke.
Yep, complete joke. The problem was the premium HEAT ammo, not the actual tank itself. The simple solution would have been to adjust the penetration value of the HEAT Ammo... maybe drop it to 120 from 150. Pathetic.
ReplyDeleteWG logic... "When a tank gets thin armour, it's weight will increase". Sphincter said what??
ReplyDeleteThe poor VK2801, what was once the near perfect scout, is soon to become forgettable.
500 Horse Power, this is gonna be a bitch to drive. Not like acceleration was shitty on the German LTs to begin with the 600 H.P engine.
ReplyDeleteI knew this was comming for along time. All tanks with derp guns is on pay2win system. I mean look at E100 its only competetive if you use gold ammo. So WG wont touch guns performance becouse if gold ammo becomes shit people wont pay theyr money for it.

ReplyDelete"VK2801 was nerfed because it has a different MM now, it won't drop into hightier battles (removed from MM tiers 11 and 12)"
MM tiers 11-12 means you won't see t8 arty and that is it.
ReplyDelete- VK2801 was nerfed because it was overpowered lately with the gold ammo
ReplyDeleteClassic Wargaming (tm) logic, instead of going for the root cause (the gold ammo) they nerf the tank.
Seriously, who is pulling the decisions on this as he is just dancing around the problem "fixing" tanks that are not broken and destroying vehicles just because he wants to save their precious gold ammo.
WG you doin such a goodjob by nerfing tanks with no need to nerf them BEACUSE of goldammo.... GJ...! Really GJ............
ReplyDeleteTwo questions:
ReplyDelete1. Should i expect to save up about 60kish xp on my vk2801 for this?
2. The 90mm fired only HEAT munitions, will this be standard?
nice, one reason to finally drive a light tank
ReplyDeletewhat happened here? seems like mis-information...
