As for the amx-13, I believe that they recived about 100 or so of the 75 caliber before the Sinai campaign in 1956 perhaps they got them from the french the same way they got the Mirage fighterjets? I know they also saw action in the 6 day war but cannot find information on how they were aquired, do you think this siteis helpful? http://idf-armor.blogspot.ca/2008/12/captured-tanks-armor-and-other-military.html?m=1Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-803236411311363895.post-1126959389348435012013-02-18T23:29:03.857+01:002013-02-18T23:29:03.857+01:00I was trying to keep some kind of tech continuity ...I was trying to keep some kind of tech continuity (this tree was made long before I knew what kind of weird mashup would the Chinese tree be), therefore I tried to stick with compatible designs as much as possible.
As far as I know, the Israeli AMX-13 were captured vehicles, because Israel refused to buy them and went instead to upgrade the Shermans. M47 Patton has nothing to do with T-55... not sure how would you make them fit.SilentstalkerFTRhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03345351411597408992noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-803236411311363895.post-77738979576510055252013-02-18T23:15:52.871+01:002013-02-18T23:15:52.871+01:00Didn't the sho't centurions use American e...Didn't the sho't centurions use American engines because the British one's weren't as reliable? Wouldn't Israli m3 or m5stuart(again yes I know) make for a better tier 4? This would allow you to tier up all the Shermans by 1 as the Israelis had several Sherman variants, speaking of which why the M-50 Sherman's 90mm option mentioned here? Also what about all the Israeli Amx 13 variants, the 90 and 105mm here as possible tier 8. Wouldn't this also be a good place to introduce the M47 Patton as a tier 9 before a T-55 mounting an L7? What do you think SS?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-803236411311363895.post-20056450532986161562013-01-19T11:02:45.415+01:002013-01-19T11:02:45.415+01:00When I made this tree, there were still a lots of ...When I made this tree, there were still a lots of "barriers" not fallen. For example the British weren't out yet. But generally, the original Patton is simply in the game already and any serious upgrades (later versions of Mag'ach) would be too OP for the game. So basically, the earliest Mag'ach could theoretically fill the tier 10 slot (as a copy of the existing Patton), but there is nothing to fill the T8 and T9 withSilentstalkerFTRhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03345351411597408992noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-803236411311363895.post-90595240468629812612013-01-19T02:02:17.526+01:002013-01-19T02:02:17.526+01:00what about the magach branch?what about the magach branch?Basket Casehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15685470962896458381noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-803236411311363895.post-10173906819804487842013-01-15T18:43:32.533+01:002013-01-15T18:43:32.533+01:00It's interesting, but I think we'd be runn...It's interesting, but I think we'd be running into the danger of having copy/paste tanks. I mean; what would the difference between the British and Israeli Centurions be? Apart from maybe a couple of minor tweaks here and there in the numbers I'd imagine both their playstyles and stats would be near-identical. I like Centurions very much but I feel that this along with the Chinese tree would take away what little authenticity and diversity there is in WOT.

(hopefully historic battles will be introduced by then but even that creates the issue of the 'what-if' tanks being absent)fattolerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02315995076317496087noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-803236411311363895.post-58256703907395675662013-01-14T18:45:31.668+01:002013-01-14T18:45:31.668+01:00Yes I agree.Yes I agree.SilentstalkerFTRhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03345351411597408992noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-803236411311363895.post-22576316932538873322013-01-14T18:45:08.268+01:002013-01-14T18:45:08.268+01:00As for heavies missing - I don't think it'... I don't think having tanks which share no components is a gamebreaker for WG--I mean look at the early Chinese tree--and given the amount of wars and how many of the tanks often changed hands, it probably makes more sense than the pan-European tree (the Swedish, for instance, were unlikely to use captured Czech tanks given that they never fought each other).Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-803236411311363895.post-91503239116364154592013-01-14T18:29:26.400+01:002013-01-14T18:29:26.400+01:00Not enough heavy tanks!
